Flowers Cut and Dried: The Essential Guide to Growing, Drying, and Arranging

A bit superficial
Personally I didn’t like this book. I found the writing style patronising and I didn’t think the ideas were very inspired. I’ve since given the book away to charity. I was inspired to find a good book on drying flowers after reading The Scented Room by Barbara Milo Ohrbach, which book I’d recommend, and which was more informative than this one even though it wasn’t just about drying flowers. I suppose I was hoping for more specific information on types of flowers to dry, and how to grow them, when to pick them, etc etc, but this book was a bit scant on the finer detail. It also seemed to have too many pictures at the expense of useful text.

Four Stars
A very useful book with a good history of drying flowers. Technical details are well explained.
