Another quality Bosch product!
So I have a newer, smaller Bosch driver for light tasks but I needed to replace my 11 year old Bosch 24V drill that I really loved but the batteries finally died and I didn't want to replace them. Because I don't have a corded drill, this replacement will be my primary drill for tasks that require use and abuse. Living with it for a week, it's a beast (like my 11 year old one). More power than you will ever need. I paid $220 for the kit (CLPK22-181) from Amazon. Menards wanted $329 for this same kit.I have a small driver so this is my first experience with an 18V driver. I've used this a fair amount and this driver is wonderful. So much power but the trigger gives you so much control. There is an operator problem of driving screws too fast. It's a nice problem to have. This driver is going to see a good amount of use.Homeowner use so keep this in mind. I'm handy and use my tools but I don't use them 8 hours a day, 6 days a week. Solid build and kind of heavy.***Update, 1.5 years later and still loving this Bosch product. Plenty of power, hammer drill works wonderful too.

Great tool set for the active home owner and building professional.
very solid units, lots of torque sometimes to much for me but i have tired wrists , dropped both tools several times with no issues. Battery life is tremendous, which has let me use them thought the day on one charge. There a little heavy but thts what heavy duty tools are. The light on the impact is in the head somewhat like the hilti i have which is a good place. The drill light is near the baseand is okay but does not light the work area the best in some positions. Units have metal gears and the main reason I selected them for the project I am doing ( building a bedroom in the basement for grand daughter ). The hammer action of the drill far exceeded my expectations went through the concrete foundation easily.

Still Solid .. after all these years
OK Im a bit premature in reviewing as these have only had 1 outing in anger but the hammer drill worked well on old and v hard concrete and everything feels very well built.Update: ten years on (how is that even possible). Still going strong. I’m not a contractor so not using these everyday but I do a LOT of home Reno projects and these things are just about bulletproof. Heavy. But bulletproof.

Best drills for your money.
Charges fast / Extremely powerful. Best set of drills I have ever owned. Used the drill to punch through plate metal. Put 6 inch and a half holes in the metal.... drill did not even get hot.

i'd go another route
bought the combo kit. had it awhile. probably should have gone another route. the drill is alright. kinda cumbersome. the impact driver leaves a lot to be desired. no where near the torque coming out of a milwaukee or dewalt. which pains me to say considering i'm a bosch fanboy

Not happy at all with this
One batter was bricked out of the box. Not happy at all with this. Thought Bosch was great but now not a fan after getting a faulty battery. Can't recommend this set after receiving a faulty product before it was ever used.

Just buy them already.
Works like a champ. I resisted buying battery powered tools for years because I remembered how short lived the old NiCad batteries were. In contrast, these batteries (4 amp hour) have a phenomenal life and charge quickly. Both drill and driver are solidly built and a joy to use.

Two Stars
It's ok. Really should have gone with the m18 fuel instead. Overpriced for the power and features.
