It has good handling
So to start i don't have a great understanding of swords i do have knowledge but nothing compared to other people but so far the sword for me has the heft to it for me and came fairly sharp i am enjoying alot at the moment haven't had to much time to test but i will say for almost 300 dollars this sword is a great starter point for getting into the more expensive side of sword buying most of my swords prior to this were 100 dollar swords decent enough could hold up if needed however this sword is much higher quality compared to them so if your someone who enjoys a heavy sword and a fairly sharpened blade with a nice sheath hilt & pommel this would be a good buy in my book

Very good quality
I used this sword for a Viking Wedding and was very happy with the quality, I would recommend this if anyone is looking for a sturdy beautiful sword.

VERY heavy, unwieldy, but that’s what you bought it for, right?
Fine steal, sturdy construction. Oddly, the fuller is both a true groove BUT ALSO artificially colored in to make it stand out, not sure why. Good news is that the fuller’s coloring, however they did it, doesn’t run. The bevel for an edge “exists,” but you’ll be hand grinding for hours to make it shaving-sharp. Use a machine grinder or professional services if you want that effect. The pommel is peened, but my pommel rotates every so slightly under the peen when pressed upon. The sheath is my favorite part, tbh. Robust construction, thick, real leather, sturdy bands and a very handsome rise on both sides to securely rest the hilt between. Wish everyone was as dedicated to the sheath as these guys are. It’ll make a fine shield-breaker if the Saxons ever threaten due to the weight and solidity of construction, and a fine hanging piece if not. If you’re looking for an instrument for finer, more precise swordplay then find something about a lbs or more light. Still, a great piece for weighty cuts.

Historically Accurate
if you had to fight as a Viking, this is the sword you would want. it's a bit heavy for a 1-handed sword, but that's just how it is. the craftsmanship is flawless on this magnificent sword, completely battle-ready. pair it nicely with a good shield, and you're ready for war!

Warped
Blade slightly warped, quenching process done improperly. Handle is incredibly short and weighted towards the front making it slightly unweildy, balance issue. Steel and materials are good, the scabbard was great and suited my needs perfectly.

Very happy with my purchase
I received my Norse Tradesman sword today and it is perfect. The level of craftsmanship and detail that went into the scabbard and sword is top notch. The weight is spot on, the leather is genuine, and I'm super pleased. Due note however, it does not come with a sharpened edge.

Great sword for someone on a budget
Very solid construction, balance is a little off but not terrible. A little grinding and the blade will be ready to go. The sheath is extremely well made. Excellent buy for the money

Just buy it if it fits your needs
As someone who understands the difference between a 200.00 sword vs a 1500.00 sword and has many of the latter let me explain. Ignore the reviews and ignore the description as here is what you get. A heavy duty sword that looks the part. Scabbard is nice for what it is and looks killer for the price. Now what isn't it. 100% Period correct, 100% well balanced and meticulously hand crafted by an expert blacksmith nor recommendations to use it in staged combat. But guess what you aren't getting for 200.00? Any of the above. Buy it, strap it on your waist and go rule the faires or hang it from your wall and pray to Odin. But don't buy it with the expectations of getting that 1500.00 sword you saw for 200.00
