Nyko Charge Base for PlayStation 4

I bought this charging station because hooking up USB to the micro USB port on the controller every night is not only a hassle, It also takes up space, and if you're like me and have a very long connecting charge cord it can become a hazard. The clips that are needed for this charger do not get in the way of your hands while playing, and are hardly noticeable. The cord that plugs into the charger has a USB port on the other end which can be plugged into an ordinary phone wall charger. The charge is fairly quick, but it's very easy to return the controller to the charger immediately after use so it is charged whenever you need it. This charger is not one of the ones that sits on top of the PS4 like some of the others I have seen. I prefer this charger because the space where I keep my PS4 is relatively small, and it would be hard to easily reach the controllers, not to mention I like having the option of putting the charger on an end table or coffee table that is within hands reach of where I will be sitting. I owned a Nyko charger of this style for my XBOX 360 controllers and loved it as well. This model is an upgrade and I am very happy with this purchase.

This is the best charging system for the PS4. We bought this one because the price was lower than to replace two missing adapters the kids had lost off the back of the controllers. While shipping did take a bit for the price and quality it is absolutely the charging set up I would recommend.

Exactly what I was looking for. The "Plugs" stay in, and won't fall out on even drops. They are small and don't interfere in anyway with gaming. And best of all, they are self guided so you literally drop and go for charging without having to line up any special connectors. Not to mention everything is very well built. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to avoid having to "Plug" these in every single time.

I've tried many many PS4 Chargers and none have been as easy or fast charging as this one is. This is the best money spent on a charger. Best Charger Everrrrr!

As you can see in the pic this is clearly an open box item. It seems to work fine. I love the product, have one for my other PS4 for years now, they're great, but I hate when sellers on Amazon get sneaky like this. No where is it stated that it is open box, it has minor scratches, but that's not a big deal. I don't even know if it's a refurb, the cord was wrapped up all wierd. Amazon really needs tighter control of their merchants.

My 9 year old is REALLY hard on power cables and I got tired of trying to find a cable he hadn't destroyed yet. With this base you just set the controller on it, and there's no fumbling around with the power cables or any wear and tear on the USB port of the controller. It also forces the kid to pick up controllers when he's done gaming, because if he doesn't, he'll have nothing to play with later. :)

Compact and works well. Charging clips/adapters do not get in the way whatsoever.Took off a star because it only comes with a USB cable, not a wall adapter. The whole point of getting this thing was so that I wouldn't have to plug into the front of my PS4 (where the USB ports are located).

This thing is awesome. No messing around with the USB port and accidentally bending cables/connectors. This is very convenient for younger kids that are a bit careless with USB cables.

I wanted to get a charging dock that took the hassle out of keeping my controller charged... no more trailing wires, no more fumbling with the USB connector (I swear I get these the wrong way up more than 50% of the time, whatever the laws of probability say!).Most of the docks I found on Amazon didn't address the latter problem. It sounded like you'd still have to try to click some plug into the port. I wanted something I could just slide the pad into. This was the perfect purchase for me!It has a unique system. A little dongle goes into the port of your controller, and stays there. It has these wide plates that can slide over the contacts in the dock, so you just need to drop your controller in and it'll start charging. An icon comes on to show that the dock had connected. Remember to check for that, maybe adjust the placement a tiny bit if it doesn't come on, and you're good to go.Ideally it would be a little less easy to drop it in without it being in a position to charge, but I assume that was a tradeoff with the ability to cleanly slide the controller in and out. The charging indicator really makes it a non issue, but it can be a gotcha the first time you thought it must be charging overnight, and it wasn't.Overall, this is the first time, maybe ever, I've bought a product on Amazon with no customer reviews (there were plenty in the American store and on tech review sites though), and I'm very happy I did.

It is a very good product, very good design. The charging is a little bit slow but nothing to worry about. I reccomend it !!
