Robotics Smartcore 6, 6 Smart Vehicles in 1, Educational STEM Birthday Kits Ages 8 and Up

We have been playing with my son, and it is fantastic. I can't understand why this is not very popular :/

We were cautiously optimistic due to the good reviews, but not a great buyAbility to make/build different machines a huge hit with the kids. Some work better than others, but each one brings a unique build and level of playSmaller than expected, but ok for little hands. Remote took a few times to pair, you have to follow the process exactly. Battery/charging work fine,15-20 min of use before recharging.Components (drone in particular) broke quickly within the first few days of use. Parts wear fast, motors don't last. Maybe I missed a lubrication point, but stuff doesn't hold up. Tank worked for 5 min, then one of the tracks froze. I don't think the kids abused it.

This is a neat product, but my son was disappointed when he found out that you could only make one item at a time.

My 7-year old grandson liked this kit and after a little help from me on the first build (tank), built all other vehicles by himself. He is still trying to make the drone work, but the 5 other vehicles seem to work perfectly. I wish the instructions were a little more detailed, and the print were a little bigger. Also, they could have provided a small screwdriver with the kit. Overall, I would recommend the kit because it is easy to build, and includes six different vehicles. Perhaps they should also include a boat as a part of kit to complete the land, water, air travel mediums.

My grandson was the receiver of the gift, but my granddaughter liked it to. They are 11 and 8 respectively.

We were excited to receive this product. What a WASTE! Motors function haphazardly and don't seem to have enough power to drive when wheels attach. Pairing is not smooth despite new batteries and full charging. TERRIBLE PRODUCT. Problem could be with motor, connecting wires, or power core - I'm not wasting an hour to troubleshoot each piece. Will call Customer Service when they reopen to find out if we just received a lemon, or if horrible performance was their intention. We will update this post if they make things right. Otherwise, I'll push Amazon to allow for Zero Stars on a review.

As with most toys of this type the pieces might fit together without breaking, but probably not. By the time you attempt to take it apart to make the various vehicles some tiny tab will break off. Be ready for extreme frustration. This is not a durable toy if it even works on the first try. I tried to talk my kid out of it, but he insisted on trying this out. I let him learn from his mistake.
