Why did you pick this product vs others?:The idea of an easily removable attachment to the bathtub was very appealing. Suction cup grab bars have a reputation of sometimes failing which I didn’t want in a safety device and my situation was not ideal for a permanent wall mounted grab bar. This worked perfectly.Sturdiness:I was surprised at the weight of the package when it arrived. This is a very substantial metal grab bar that simply slides over the tub edge and is tightened by hand, no tools needed, and is steady as a rock. Recommended

This is not a flimsy unit, the material is thick and quite heavy. Once it is in place and tightened down, it will not move or fail. It worked very well for both me and my wife. It made getting in and out of the bathtub much safer. The adjustable and padded handle may help others to get up from the tub also.I can’t say enough about how well this product is built. There are only a few pcs. to assemble, and each component is very thick and sturdy. The welds run completely along each part, not just spot welded. The coating is attractive and appears very thick and rust resistant.One big issue is this will not work on several types of tubs. A standard style cast iron should work well, but definitely not a claw foot style, or a tub made of any composite material like fiberglass. You must tighten the clamp very tight. Also both sides of the clamping surfaces must be flat and parallel, horizontal and vertical, for at least 8 inches to allow the unit to be tightened sufficiently. I found only about 10 inches on our tub that was parallel and not tapered.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I hate to admit it but I am getting older and still love taking baths. A nice soak helps the soreness caused by my physical activity.Problem: I was getting in and out of the tub with unstable knees. After resisting, I acknowledged this was a safety issue and purchased this hand grab. I am pleased; it has made access to the tub safer and enabled me to continue to enjoy a warm soak after a physical day.

Bought one of these for my senior mother to assist her getting in and out of the tub in her mid 80s. Very well built and constructed along with the tubing being very strong with good welds!Simple to use and just slide down over her tub, tighten the screw clamp and was good to go! Clamp has pads on it to grip your tub and not leave marks on it. It clamps snug and tight! No worries of her putting her weight on it if needed and working that it may slip, move or break!If not mistaken, it is a Made in America item and the quality shows!!! It was also affordable priced, shipped fast and easy to install! Well worth the money and gives peace of mind of my elderly mother still getting in and out of her tub!

This product works well. I was a little soft on tightening it because the warnings suggest that it could mar or break the tub. But as I've gotten more comfortable with the hand tightening, I have felt more confident to place a tighter grip on the tub wall. You will notice that there is a rubber padding on the vice. Just be careful and take it a little bit at a time.This device helped an elder in the home feel so much more secure entering the shower-tub. And is thus priceless.

Fit nicely and securely on our oversized tub. Very helpful for me to use my left hand in getting out of the tub.

I ordered this by mistake and ordered another one. But when this came in I was so impressed I had to keep it it is very sturdy and very well-made I’m glad I kept it

This handy tool is quite the life saver. Knee issues were causing difficulties for me stepping in and out my tub/shower until I ordered this helper. I feel more steady and confident with my movements.
