Easy to use and compact
Replaces a 12 year old one that the readings were starting to drift wildly ovre time. I suspect the test strip contacts in the meter were becoming an issue or my medication was becoming less effective. My readings tightened back up within the ranges I expected them to be. No increase in medication required and the the lad work confirmed my old meter was an issue when compare with the results using the new meter readings.

A little confusing.
The meter comes with a lancet applicator even though the box says meter only.

No USB Cord included.
The item works perfectly with my prescribed items, however, the USB cord does not come with this product, it is battery powered. Fortunately, I had a extra cord in my accessory box. You will have to continuously recharge this unit or keep purchasing batteries.

Extremely accurate especially for people with low hematocrit levels
When Leukimia basically zeroed out my blood cell counts, I discovered my previously reliable glucose meter kept giving wildly variable results. I thought it had gone bad, and bought a different highly rated one only to have the same results. I went to the NIH papers regarding this issue and found that gor people with low hemocrit numbers in their blood won’t get good readings on most glucose meters. There were some meters that worked though because they used two different processes to measure glucose. I chose the one they tested with the most accurate results and Bought that one. My old meter when it worked would give consecutive readings within +/- 5% which was ok. This meter gives me identical consecutive readings living up to the +/- 1% the researchers found. Without this meter, I wouldn’t be able to get glucose readings at all. I’d been in a panic before it came. It was a life saver for me.

One touch verio blood glucose meter malfunctions after 2 months
Hi everyone I wanted to let you all know that I have had this product since the end of September we are now at the beginning of December and I wanted to warn everyone that the meter seems to malfunction shortly after purchasing. Just last week I thought my sugar level was at 200 but I felt fine. When I got home I tested again on my husband's meter which I bought for him was a RELI meter. I only tested at 113 which was almost 80 points higher than what it really was. I waited about 15 minutes and did the same process again testing both on my meter and my husband's meter. Again I got the same readings. He tested as well and got the same results. So please be careful in addition I kept getting error two messages. I just wanted to let the diabetic community know that this meter may have issues you need to be aware of. I'm afraid the only reason why I bought this type of meter was because my insurance would cover the strips at 100% but I had to use this particular meter. So if you do purchase this meter make sure you purchase it from someone who offers a warranty program on it because you will have to replace it in a couple months. Thank you.
