I've been using a balm as my beard has been getting longer, but balms do not really have a hold and do not tame those random stray hairs. I read the reviews on this product and decided to give it a try. The product arrived quickly and packaging was good. It came with a small card of simple instructions for use. I followed the instructions and scraped a small amount of product with my thumbnail, then transferred to my fingertips in order to warm it prior to application. 3-5 minutes of rubbing fingers together resulted in a gummy mess. I attempted to apply to my beard and it did not spread and in fact just ripped hairs from my face. Then I could not get the residue off my fingers and needed to use a warm towel to clean them off. Then when running a beard comb through my beard I noticed that the product was also gumming up the teeth of the comb. The scent is also not what I consider a barbershop smell, it's more reminiscent of an old time apothecary. I have attempted to use this product 3 times with the same terrible results. Really disappointed.

This wax was recommended to me by a feller I work with. I was (and still am) pleasantly surprised with the smell of the barbershop wax. It truly has a familiar smell that I remember from the few old shops I had the pleasure to go to when I was younger. My cookie duster is quite unruly and I didn't want to get a product that would make it look plastic. This stuff really holds. I'm a career firefighter and work 24 hour shifts, I apply it before work and it holds all day. And at night, when the tones drop and we head out, I just gently pull at the tips of my handlebar stache and boom.... good as new. I mean, this stuff fixes my beaver buffer's bed head at 4am, almost 24 hours after its waxing... then it washes right out with the Cremo face and beard wash I am able to buy locally (though if Bearded Bastard sells an equivalent of happily try it out). I do recommend use of a hair dryer to aid in softening the wax but it is by no means necessary. This is great stuff for your flavor saver.

Compared to others that I have used this has a very strong hold almost a little on the sticky side however compared to others this is more expensive and a smaller size. As far as the smell goes I'm not sure if it smells like a Barbershop or not however it does smell good. I have some hairs in my mustache that like to do 90ﾟ turns and this stuff helps keep them straight and where I want them however you definitely do need a hair dryer to warm it up.

Had to buy some wax since my regular product was temporarily unavailable and I needed something. I bought this and another similar one and both were pretty much the same. Hated the scents on both. The wax works well enough but was a bit softer than my usual brand. It is pliable enough to apply but did not last that long. Threw it out once my regular (Harry's moustache wax) was once again in production.

I've been using this moustache wax for a few months now and I've grown accustomed to it's ways.This wax has put me out of the wax shopping business. The fragrance is delightful, and holds very, very well. I work security and I really don't have the ability to reapply wax if needed, but that doesn't matter, as this stuff will hold from the beginning of my shift, through the shift, and it will finally break down 9 hours later after going to the gym, and even then while I cannot keep my stache curled it still keeps my whiskers out of my mouth.Overall I highly recommend this product and the manufacturer!

Only 4 starts because it arrived a bit dried out. It even shrunk so it rattles when shaking the tin. I had to dig extra hard to break the dried crust on the top. Once I got that top layer off, it is the same as all the other Bearded Bastard products. The aroma is interesting. Not sure if I like it or not. A bit more feminine than I had hoped for. I guess I mean sweeter and floral rather than musky.

I always use this brand, its been the most consistent with hold and ease of use. This is my first time using the barbershop blend and so far its my favorite scent of them all.

I've tried a few other waxes but always come back to THE BEARDED BASTARD mustache waxes. Best hold for handlebar mustaches. Only con is I usually have to reapply a bit of way to the tips of my stash during the day because I tend to play with them and remove the wax when I do.

I tried an expedition strength product by a Captain - stuff was so hard it was almost impossible to get it out of the container. This product is great for my use and gives the results I look for. Easy to apply and in my case lasts all day
