A Gloriously Simple Game
I initially bought Curios as a gift for my parents. They love board games, but have very old-school expectations, so most Eurogames are straight-up out (when I taught them Ticket to Ride, my mother said it was too "tense").Curios only takes about five minutes to learn - I honestly recommend just jumping into a round while still reading the rules, and is gloriously simple to play. There's strategy, but not so much that you feel paralyzed, and entire games, typically lasting a few rounds, can take as little as 15 minutes, making it great for those moments where you just don't have time for longer games. That said, because setup is so low-effort, you can just keep playing multiple games without batting an eye.Bottom Line:I highly recommend Curios. It's fun, easy to learn, easy to teach to newbies, easy to store in the cool little tin, and takes little-to-no-effort to set up.

Very fun and easy to learn!
Highly recommend! Super easy to learn and very fun. Games go by fast (about 20 minutes with 4 players). Some strategy and some guessing. Being strategic helps but you'll need some luck too.

Fun game, easy to learn
Great low-commitment game that takes 5 minutes to learn but has a decent amount of complexity. I enjoy bringing this to game nights or when my friends and I are looking for a game to play that will take 20 minutes and not 2 hours. Here's how it works:There are 4 treasures. Every treasure has a deck consisting of four value cards (1, 3, 5, or 7) that gets one card from that deck randomly dealt face down as the real value of that treasure (in other words, take the deck of four cards corresponding to each location and randomly deal one face down for each location). The remaining cards are collected, shuffled, and distributed to the rest of the players. Players take turns drafting for treasure by placing their pawns on the location they'd like to take treasure from. The first time someone places pawns on a location they must use one pawn to take a single treasure. The next person must place two pawns to take a single treasure, then 3, then 4. You might go after a certain treasure (or avoid it) using deduction based on the cards you have in your hand. Players keep drafting until no one can place any more pawns. At the end of each round players can "sell" one of their cards for an additional pawn by revealing one of their cards face up on the table. Do this until two locations have run out of treasure. At the end of the game, reveal the true value of each location, then count the value of your treasure. The person with the most points wins.Great game overall and a really fun theme! Highly recommended it to all levels of board gamers!

Great combination of skill + luck
Love the strategy to this game, its a combination between probability, luck, and deduction. I think that it plays best with 3-4 people. Rounds also don't take too long, so you can play multiple times when you sit down. Get's addicting!Takes 1-2 times playing it to really get the strategy down. Would recommend to anyone who likes playing board/card games.
