Amazing product, bought this camera to monitor the movements of a Royal Python. (As they are crepuscular) Works amazing well for the amount paid, auto follows movement perfectly, switches to night time mode on its own. Notification syatem workd great with the app to let me know when the camera has detected different types of movement. Easy to setup, picture quality is great, connects to WiFi effortlessly and the zoom feature is more than enough!

I have a studio at the bottom of my garden it's a long way from the house. I have things in it I would hate to loose although the garden is secure I wanted a little extra reassurance and this so far fits the bill. The unit looks the part and would not look out of place in a modern house. The power lead is a suitable length and I found I needed no extention. I would have preferred it if the power lead was the same colour as the unit .black lead white unit ?. I wont go into detail about set up there are enough videos on you tube to get you out of difficulty. Setting up was easy enough ,I like the fact you can pan and tilt the camera to cover the room. I like the talk over ability it would deter anyone being told your uploading their images to social media. Not so sure about the alert thing. I had two alerts and nothing there. I know what your thinking mice, but I dont think so. I'm a bit of a cover every angle sort of person and have a movement alarm in the studio. I know it's working as when I panned the room the movement set it off. So it meant a swift move to my studio to turn it off before annoying my neighbor's. I will check the settings to see if it can be turned down. I have had this sort of camera before and I can honestly say this seems better than those that have gone before it. Main points great clear picture , having the ability to move the camera remotely makes the unit stand out among others you can get. Being able to talk to dog,baby,burgulars is also handy. The night vision is really good virtually as good as daylight. Easy to set up and the app works well. The only two grumbles I have and they are not game changers, I would have liked the power lead to be the same colour as the unit. Not an issue for my studio but if I was using it in the house I would buy a matching lead. The other is alerts two alerts nothing there that could become annoying and could cause you not to check alerts,(remember the story of the boy who cried wolf). To end on a good note this unit is incredible for its low price tag . It does so much more than others out there costing a lot more. It seems I was premature with my review . I just wish I would sometimes listen to my own advice . If a product and price looks to good to be true it usually is, now yet again been suckered into buying a mugs eyeful. Like an idiot I believed what the ad said works with up to a 128 ad card. It doesnt I purchased a high speed card specifically for this camera that is now as redundant as the so called security camera. Call me strange but if someone breaks in and you cannot record them no evidence . I thought that is the purpose of any security camera. Without a recording you have nothing to tell bill about other than you have been burgled you can do that without spending 24 of your English pounds . I'm going to have to contact amazon as I have no idea how to send this as long as your looking at it security camera back.as I'm on shielding. And before anyone jumps in and says do this do that. I have done the fixes same result the camera has a problem with the ad card. I think its to cameras that have the problem. It's about as much use as a an allotment in Chernobyl. Yet again another amazon useless purchase. Having written a good review and then edit it to complain about not being able to record I have to eat humble pie and apologise to the seller. I asked the Amazon community if anyone has managed to format the ad card. And many got back to me and once it was explained the card was easily formatted for use in the camera. So my original ramblings stand . It's a very good camera with great features .

So far this camera has meet my needs/ expectations perfectly. So much as just bought a second one. Set up is easy for someone with basic know how, instructions are clear and work. I bought this as have a rat/ rats in my loft and cavity walls. And could hear them most nights, yet my baited cages and glue boards remained empty. I didn’t want to buy a big cctv system as I’ve had one before which eventually failed and don’t see the point in spending hundreds just to confirm I have rats in my loft and see what they’re upto. After 48hours this camera has shown me where it came in and what it’s doing, also know where to move the cage to. I have a 64g Samsung micro sd card. Set to permanently record using about 6g for 24hours. Using the pan/tilt allows for precise adjustment for area to be recorded. I am able to view live and recorded video via the tapo app on both iPad and android phone, either connected to Wi-fi or 4g when away from home. I didn’t receive a movement notification when rat appeared however I had customised notification times and this fell outside of times But a rat is fairly small, it did pick my kids up when and notify me when tested in the house. I have now set notifications to always so it may work now. Not a problem if it doesn’t as you can scroll through playback to any point and then watch at 2x, 4x,8x even 16x speed. Even slow motion 1/2 1/4 1/8 &1/16. All in all a very good camera for its money. Once you have it in position you don’t need to go near it again. I did briefly use the 2 way talk, and siren which works, talk had a minimal delay but this is not the reason for purchase so not an issue. I don’t think telling the rats to **** off is going to be effective. If your looking for a camera to use as a indoor/dry area monitor with fairly good picture quality, this is it. The sound from recording and talk didn’t seem amazing however I briefly used it, but would say it’s on par with a baby monitor. All be it this is so much cheaper. I’ve only had this for 48hrs. Not sure of how long this will last but seems well made. Enough for me to buy another. Also worth noting the app can have 32 cameras paired to it, to scroll through like a proper cctv kit Came with 3 pin mains plug about 3m length

Really great quality camrea, some amazing features including "baby crying" detection and notifications. I have only 2 small issues with it.. 1.The camrea can not view straight up/down, we are using this as a nanny cam mounted above the bed, so it dosent quite give the full coverage i would have liked. 2.the app is only designed for android so can not be installed on your pc or tv HOWEVER there are 3rd party apps that your can buy relatively cheap, but do require some level of computer knowledge to set up. That said, it's a really fantastic quality cam and easy to set up and use

Some of the reviews here are absolutely terrible. They are either just plain wrong and/or misleading. The drop outs: you get NONE if you have a good WiFi signal. Everyone complaining would just be using their ISP provided router which gives awful WiFi signal anyway. If you have good WiFi, you will not get any drop outs at all. This means (against a highly rated review here) it WOULD be a great baby monitor. I use one of these to watch my 1 year old fall to sleep, have had the camera on a few occasions running on my device for up to 3 hours staraight and I get not a single drop out. Infact I have FIVE tapo cameras around the house and none have ever had a drop out. This will be down to your WiFi signal strength around your house. We then have people falsely claiming the pan and tilt cameras have subscriptions behind it and the non pan and tilt doesn't, this is absolute rubbish. They are basically exactly the same, both have sd local storage, the only difference is the looks and one has pan and tilt.. These are excellent cameras and highly reliable. The night vision is surprisingly good as long as you don't have any close reflective items obscuring the view, which is standard for night vision products. Set up was stupidly easy, you just can not get it wrong. The app is responsive, packed with good features and it also allows you to link your cameras to 3rd party software. Viewing these over your WiFi on your app, you're looking at around 1 second time delay which is pretty reasonable. The 2 way voice system can be a little echoey but that is a minor unavoidable issue I guess due to the mic and speaker being so close together on the product. The motion detection works, and it works well. Maybe this is a app update since a year or so ago, but I get none of the issues other reviews have mentioned. I just wish amazon allowed comments on reviews, cause there are far too many highly rated reviews on this product that are just plain wrong or just out of date. Which is a shame.

Really like the fact that you can use your own storage (Micro SD card - not supplied) on the device. This saves on subscription fees (necessary to actually view the video) that other brands require - when you cannot configure a seperate storage device to link to their camera). Can remotely change camera direction & configure to reduce the area the movement detector monitors (to eliminate movement of leaves; or footfall outside the garden).

I got this with a 128GB card and a Cudy 4G SIM router so I could keep an eye on my house that was for sale. Reliable camera, I have a few Tapo devices so it was easy to pair to the app. Notifications and sensitivity takes a lot of tinkering, like any brand, to get your sweet spot. It isn’t the equivalent of cctv but does a great job when used appropriately, you can also use it to keep an eye on pets, or in garden sheds for security etc.

Easy to install and visually unobtrusive. The app is user-friendly, and I had no issues setting it up on the first try. The image is clear both during the day and night and there is no lagging so far. The only minor hiccup was connecting the camera to my Wi-Fi: it took three attempts, but once connected, it worked flawlessly. What I was looking for in an indoor camera was a tilting mechanism, a microphone, and the ability to record videos directly onto a memory card without requiring a monthly subscription. I haven’t purchased a memory card yet, but once I do, I’ll update this review to confirm if it works as expected and whether I can access the recordings from my phone. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly. I’m already planning to purchase a second one: not only to check in on my cats while I’m away for work and when the petsitter visits while I'm on vacation, but also to monitor the tenancy agency during their frequent inspections. This way, I can be sure they don’t disturb my cats or tamper with my personal belongings. And if they do, I will have both video and audio proof of it 😅

Night vision bhi kaafi strong hai, andhar andhera hone par bhi proper recording hoti hai. Mobile app ke through live view, recording aur motion alert sab smoothly kaam karte hain. Setup process bhi bahut easy tha – bina kisi technical problem ke connect ho gaya. Motion detection ka feature kaafi useful hai, jaise hi koi movement hota hai turant notification aa jata hai. Audio quality (2-way talk) bhi clear hai, aur overall camera home security ke liye perfect lagta hai. Is price range me mujhe ye product value for money laga. Main is WiFi CCTV camera ko ghar ya shop ke liye definitely recommend karunga. 👍

This little wifi camera is actually a fantastic purchase for the price. I got my first one from my dad (who couldn't figure out how to use it) and I started using it to check in on my kitties when I was away. I then got a second one to cover more rooms, and it's equally useful. What I like most about it is the easy installation....I freely admit to being technically challenged! :D But it's actually very easy to instal, pretty much just clicking through various steps on your phone. Picture quality is great, you can turn the camera, zoom in and out and also take pictures. And the night vision is actually great...so it's really fun to watch my cats when I'm away. And I imagine it's also a good camera to check that no one is entering your flat/house when you are away. It has a speaker function as well, so you can communicate with people through the camera.
