Really happy with purchase!
I needed a computer running Windows 10 for work purposes because the screen of my Surface 6 broke. This is a huge upgrade in the hardware/performance department and I received the exact product that was described as far as hardware specifications are concerned. The packaging was tight and tidy and I felt confident that it had a safe trip home. The box of the computer was sealed and seemed as if I were the first person to open it. The tablet powers on and there are no issues for me at the moment. There was only one surprise and it was a pleasant one. I was expecting Windows 10 Home Edition because that’s what was in the description. According the the properties of the system it came preloaded with Pro Edition! Huge thanks to the seller for excellent and expedited service! God bless you and good luck! Would definitely do business again!

Nice delivery, no damage,
My order just arrived and it is model 1960, surface pro 7+. There was no no mix-up there. The next step is to put it on the charger and see if it charges properly. If it does take a charge, I am good. I had to return an item like this because the battery would not charge under all circumstances. I did a firmware update and windows update, and still was not charging. But that was from a different seller, not this site. It is plugged in right now.I have read quite a lot of complaints about the battery life. It is all true. However, with very heavy use it took five years before the battery finally failed. If the battery does fail, you must remove the screen and completely gut the frame work to get to the battery. You must be very careful doing this. I have all the tools to do the job myself. But here is a good tip: surface pro has an external battery that is small in size. I have two of them with me. This way there is very little battery drain. When running Word, the battery drain is harsh. When taking photos or video, the machine can get very hot. you must know this product well and what type of use you need. For me, I have 1300 books in my digital library. I can search every book at once for a phrase, word, or topic. I can have this research with one click of the mouse. The surface Pro is perhaps the greatest tool for my type of use. Writing and reading make it the most wonderful asset. If we ignore the sensitive care-taking needed for this device by exceeding what the Surface Pro is designed for by running too many programs at one time; well, live and learn. Microsoft Surface 7 is the last of the 12.3" screen. The 8 model is 13". I love the smaller screen. Also, Surface Pro 6 and lower models are no longer supported by Microsoft. What this means is there are no firmware updates available for those late models. I don't know about the 7 model. I have to see. So, hope my Surface Pro 7 is charging. If not, I will send it back tomorrow. Stay tuned.Very Nice--so far the battery is strong and charges perfectly. Next I am testing the battery drain. The battery should give 16 hours without any programs running. With three programs running, the battery drain is about 8 hours, tops. I do suggest that anyone who wishes to have more programs running, use the small chargers or be plugged in. You can find the small chargers online. They are about $25 each. These chargers are for the surface pro series. I am very happy today!

Amazing Tablet/Computer
I love my surface pro! I got tired of trying to turn my ipad into a computer. This was a game changer for me. I'm in Real Estate and this is definitely a must for me. Saves me so much time and I'm 100% mobile. I use my Hotspot from my phone and it works flawlessly. My only complaint is it doesn't come with a keyboard. It does have a touch screen keyboard but it doesn't always work where you want it to type, but you can open the onscreen keyboard and use shortcuts which is also pretty great. I read about the kickstand messing up on people. I don't use mine because I got a cover that has the kickstand and I never take it out of the case. I purchased this in April 2022 and today is Jan 2. So far so good!

The worst of 2 worlds
To start off with, I did NOT receive a damaged or older device as some others have. I received exactly what I paid for. As such, my complaints are with the actual device design and performance. This is supposed to be a 2 in 1, right? Magazine and internet articles keep talking this thing up with ridiculous statements eluding to Microsoft having perfected the design. The "Best of both worlds!" they proclaim. No way. It's not going to be a good device, to begin with since it runs Windows 10, which is horrible. It's basically an inferior version of Win7 with an Xbox-like interface. Underneath, it's still an M$ mess. There's really no reason for it other than to run newer games, which I wouldn't recommend this thing. It's too slow and cumbersome. But I didn't buy it for gaming. I have a hot-rod custom rig for that. I bought for both basic and professional visual design work. For the basics, my smartphone does a better job. For the visual work, I have a large collection of software I bought and paid for. I've given up trying. This thing is slow, the screen (even with a decent ppi) has low brightness, terrible contrast, and a limited color gamut. The touchscreen has a poor response to both finger and pen. The i7 doesn't perform well, heats up, and has an annoying fan. The digital storage, tiny capacity, and all, doesn't feel much quicker than an old mechanical drive. The battery life is pathetic, even with all the settings turned down to a crawl; when it's slow on maximum. So, as a laptop replacement, I cannot take it seriously. As a tablet, it's probably the worst in history. I already mentioned how terrible the screen response is, but if Win10 desktop is bad, the tablet version is downright horrible. I'd rather use a regular pencil and paper. Comparing to an iPad, in both device and software, wouldn't even be funny. But, a first-generation Android-powered tablet runs circles around it too.Alas, no one made me buy it. My decision, my wasted money, my fault.
