The pictures are fairly self explanatory. I saw various reviews saying how difficult the end was to find on each spool. I don't agree. Slip off the protective sleeve and look properly at the thread pattern on the spool as you turn it. You can see one thread that doesn't lay neatly in the pattern. Use a pin or similar to lift that out of pattern thread. It'll come loose and there's your end. The bobbin box is compact and sturdy. The plastic bobbins have flat sides. The end of the thread can be easily found. I also tested the strength by comparing the breaking strain against my normal sewing thread.
