Joe Hill: The Graphic Novel Collection

This review is solely for the construction of the book, and is not for the content of the the comics at all - I have nothing bad to say about Joe Hill or the illustrators.I opened this book to a reasonably flat, but not all the way flat, position, closed it over a cell phone after reading about 60 pages, opened it a second time, and those first 60 pages or so promptly came unglued and fell out of the binding.A hundred or so pages and 2 novels later, in the middle of "Thumbprint", I found duplicate pages for "The Cape: 1969".It might seem like a great deal, but I'm thoroughly frustrated now and don't really want to keep reading. Since I have to read it flat on a table, it's really inconvenient.

I love the stories, but how amazon handles books is ridiculous. If you dont mind a beaten up book, buy here. If you want a keeper book, buy somewhere else. If I can figure out how to upload photos I will add them. Again love the book....

Like most of Hill's work, very engaging.

If you are a fan of any of Joe Hill's work you will love this graphic novel. It includes the storyline for "The Cape" and lots of content about "Christmasland" from his most recent novel. I really enjoyed it and though it does not take long to read graphic novels I certainly felt like I got my money's worth.

Joe Hill is meant to be a comic book writer. I compare his books and see a lot of his fathers writing in him, but in the comic format he reaches new grounds his predecessor could never achieve creating stories that feel real, fantasy, and most of all suspenseful

Great stories. Unfortunately the very last page was ripped because of the glue they used. Hence four stars.

Buen tomo en inglés. Buen papel, tinta, guión y dibujo. Y bastante más barato que el editado en España.

Las primeras cuatro historias me parecieron muy regulares, por más bonito que sea el arte en ellas, las historias me dejaron mucho que desea, para mí la única que vale la pena es "Wraith" peeeero, el verdadero gran problema de este libro es la pésima calidad, sin a penas tocar el libro, rápidamente se empezó a despegar por todos lados.
