Solid weight rack very reasonable price with bonus clips
This is an excellent free weight stand if you are looking to organize convenient and easy access to 300 pounds of weight. I assembled it fairly quickly with no helper utilizing an impact driver. This rack has very solid structural integrity. There is a tiny bit of very insignificant flex when you take off and replace weights. That said this rack is not going anywhere. It is very stable leaving me with zero concerns. I have 307.5 pounds on it spread fairly evenly on each side ~ 95lbs, 110lbs and 102.5lbs. There's also space underneath it which I have incorporated to hold other gear. Anothe plus is that it comes with spring clips to hold the weights in place. If you have little children about they could come in handy for safety sake, but if this is not a concern then Newton's law will keep your weights in place. The spring clips are also excellent for use to hold your weights in place on your barbells or dumbbells (which I was in need of). I was pleased as this saved me the need to purchase them separately. Finally the esthetic is admirable adding to the decor of your workout space. Recommended.

Good quality and good value for a free weight stand.
The Apex Standard Plate Tree is well made, easy to assemble with just a 17 mm wrench or cresent wrench. There are only 6 nuts and bolts, (three top and three bottom.) For the price, it is a good product and will easily hold 300 pounds of free weights, up to and including 50 pound plates. Overall I would recommend this product with the following qualifications. Pros: Good value for the price easy to assemble and well made. The posts where you hang the plates on are for 1", standard size plates, which make it even easier to load and unload olympic style plates if you have them, at least up to 50 pound plates. Holds 300 pounds of various size plates without bending or sagging and it is stable. The cup/bottle holder on top is a convenience. Cons: My unit was missing one of the conical shaped, end caps of where you hang the plates on. It didn't really effect the use of it but it is a sign of poor quality control. I originally got this thinking the tree style would consolidate my weights in a small area but the triangular shape requires it to be located away from the wall and other things when you are taking off and putting on plates, especially the heavier plates. You need the room to maneuver. So it is not as space saving as I thought it would be.

A Great Deal
Packaging/Shipment - It was boxed adequately and everything arrived undamaged. Assembly - It took an 11/16-inch open (as opposed to socket) ratchet wrench and about 15 minutes to assemble by myself. Because of the way the metal is angled, it is difficult to fit a socket wrench squarely on the nut you need to turn. There are only 9 bolts/washers/nuts to connect, but without a ratchet wrench, it would take a lot of time and a big headache to connect them. You do need to pay close attention to the diagram and which parts are supposed to be exterior to which other parts. I imagine many of the reviews citing "instability" were the result of bolting the pieces in the wrong order. Also, you do need to apply some technique if you don't have an assistant to hold parts in place. I spent much of the assembly time realigning the parts that wanted to turn as I tightened the nuts. It would be easier to have a second person to hold them in place. Operation - I put 295 pounds of standard plates on it with no problems. It is not made of the highest grade of metal (it's about the same grade of metal used in ordinary Olympic plates), but it is plenty adequate to do the job. I expect it to last until I'm too old to care. At this price, I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Sturdy and strong, excellent triangular design, and good for standard and Olympic plates alike
I got this to hold my Olympic weight plates in my home gym that I set up thanks to Covid. Although it was a huge pain to assemble, and a big heavy piece of it fell on my foot while I tried to balance it and screw it together in the beginning, it has been fantastic ever since. I actually love the design. It's VERY stable due to its triangular shape and how it sits on three legs at the base, unlike so many others I saw on here that looked like they could topple over or roll away on wheels. Lol. Also, it's great for Olympic plates even though it's made for standard plates. Olympic plates just have a wider hole in the center so the pegs are a little smaller; but that doesn't affect the functionality of the tree at all. Currently I have about 350 lbs of weights on this tree and I could add more if I want. The metal beams that hold the pegs and weights do have a slight wobble especially when you put 35 and 45 lb plates on them, because they are so long and don't connect to any kind of support frame in the middle (as you can see they just connect together at the top and then at the base, and not between). But this does NOT detract from the sturdiness or functionality of the tree in the least. Those reviews who complain about the wobble and then give it low ratings as a result - complete BS in my opinion. Yes there is a little wobble but it's STRONG. With 350 lbs on it, it's not going anywhere and I don't think I could tip it over if I tried (well unless I tried extremely hard to do that). I think this thing is a workhorse of a little weight tree due to its intelligent and sturdy design. Great product, thanks!

Good quality and sturdy.
Item is exactly as described. Sturdy when assembled. Second pair of hands made lining up and getting fasteners into bottom legs so much easier. Finish on the metal is well done.

Weight tree which is a great value
Not sure why other folks think it was tough to put together. It took maybe 30-45 minutes to build (it is an estimate as my son was distracting me during the process) but fortunately my experience was I really did not have an issue. Important point though, don;t tighten it up as directed, until directed to. I have all kinds of misc plates I buy used, all sorts of shapes & sizes collected over the past couple of years for standard bar (including some old resin ones filled with sand) and this got them off my floor and makes my wife happy. Well, er, happier than she was when they were stacked all over. I also noted some folks spoke to stability - when loaded it does wiggle, but it is still plenty stable. I saw reviewers who removed the cupholder and used that to store the bars instead and that seems like a good idea, although right now my cup holder is my bar clip holder. Especially at the price, since I am on a tight budget, this was a great deal for me and does the job.

Solid stuff but no tool added in the box for assembly
This plate tree is awsome. Very sturdy and solid. I did not add the bottle holder, instead place my barbells in the middle. Price is great for the value. Assembly is a little hassle and it will be great if a cheap tool is added in the box for Assembly.
