HJC RPHA 70 ST Helmet (Medium) (Matte Titanium)

I'm coming from a hand me down $50 special a buddy gave me to get started with. So picking this thing up for the first time I was pretty surprised at how light it was and have been super happy with how much quieter it is and that it doesn't jerk my head side to side going over 60 :P. The sun visor is almost dark enough, but stays in place and moves as expected. It doesn't fog up in the low 30's even with me coughing. For the most part I'm really happy with it.I was however unpleasantly surprised when the provided insert pressed against the visor creating what looked like bubbles surrounded by distortion rainbows across the entire center of the visor. A quick search of reviews on multiple websites and I came to the conclusion this wasn't normal for this helmet. For whatever reason, the insert that shipped with mine fit too tightly against the pegs even with the pegs adjusted to their most loose position. So tightly that the pegs had actually damaged the plastic on the insert. An exacto knife and 5 minutes of very careful trimming later and the problem was solved. But frankly, at $360, this shouldn't have been a problem I had to solve.

I really like the internal sun shield. Also very light weight and seems quite well made. I haven’t ridden with the helmet yet, as it just came, but it arrived quickly and was perfect when unboxed. I’m excited to take a ride and try it out.Update: My first ride (Cold winter day) with this helmet revealed a few things. I like the sun shield a lot. It sure beats squeezing sunglasses in. Optics are decent with both shields, but cleaning before and after riding is key. Wind noise is noticeably louder than my Arai. It’s very light, and comfortable on my head. Feels good, but not like putting on a brand new Arai or Shoei. Not quite as plush. That being said, I am happy with the purchase. The center mounted shield release took a little getting used to for me, but works well. I love the internal sunshield at this point and the actuation lever is easily accessible in a gloved hand once you get the hang of it. Vents are easy to use with gloves also. It definitely looks good, with a great shape and nice finish (gloss black). I will update review after a few more rides.

Amazing helmet. Much quieter than my Icon Airmada. Does fit very snug, but may break in well over time. For reference, I'm a size 5 5/8 - 5 3/4 fitted hat, and the XL was just a touch snug on me. Felt much more like a track helmet than a road fit, (track is tighter in my experience) but the helmet is so nicely padded and lightweight it didn't bother me.My only small gripe is that the pinlock insert it came with is for an HJ-20 style helmet, and this one takes HJ-26 inserts, so the insert itself is unusable for me but hey, maybe someone just grabbed the wrong insert at the factory. Mistakes happen, I'm not mad about it. I'll just snag one that fits.

I bought it for a two week motorcycle trip to replace my old Carbon Fiber HJC helmet. It was a very tight fit. It loosened a little on the trip. They recommend going one size larger and they were right. I wore a medium in my old helmet, I got a large and it fit, although it was still a little to snug. It ventilated great in the 105 degree temps we rode through the last 2 days of the trip. The fog resistant face shield was fantastic. It was the main reason for the purchase. I am very pleased with this helmet.

Good helmet for the money, but I had to return because the wind blocker for the chin was terrible. It had a little cloth across the chin and an additional faux leather add on you were suppose to attach with Velcro to complete. It was supper flimsy, rather cheap and poorly designed, and I knew it would fly off if I rode with it. Since I wanted a helmet with good noise reduction, I had to pass and return. Also, the locking/unlocking mechanism on the shield as felt really cheap and plasticy, and I think it would break rather easily

I purchased this helmet to upgrade from my 2XL HJC i90 to something quieter, and didn't want to spend the 600 for a Shoei. Unfortunately, the RPHA 70 ST runs smaller. Since a 3XL isn't made, I had to just return it.TBH, I was a bit bummed. The helmet seemed really well made, and I was looking forward to giving it a test ride, but it was painfully tight after 5min of wearing it.

Putting this thing on and taking it off is pain incarnate. Even when going with the bigger of the 2 sizes a local motorcycle shop told me to go with. Cheek pads are insanely thick and I'm not going to spend another $40 to make a $370 helmet not fit my head like a vise.EDIT: Bit the bullet and got thinner cheekpads. Didn't help much. Still grips too hard and bruised the bottom of my jaw line.

This is a great Full-Face, It is light, it has PROTECTION, emergency pads, room for speakers, an extra visor, and it's not that expensive. I could hav e bought a less expensive model, but this covered all of the things I wanted and needed.I have just have to get used to the middle visor lock since I am used to a left side opening.

Der Helm sitzt perfekt. Das Gewicht ist spitze. Im Wind keine Störung. Die Sonnenblende ist ebenfalls top. Ich bin seit Jahrzehnten motorrad Fahrer und habe tausende von Kilometern in diverser Ausrüstung auf dem Buckel. Der Helm (sofern man einen hjc Kopf hat) ist ein spitzen Teil.

Sehr guter Helm. Winddicht, ruhig und agenehm, gute Sicht, gut funktionierende Sonnenblende usw. Ich hätte mir aber für diesen Preis einen Schnellverschluss erwartet... Das Einfädeln nervt...

Je suis très satisfait de ce casque, niveau insonorisation par contre c'est beaucoup mieux que mon ancien modulable ce que j'apprécie fortement.
