Not ready to go right out of the box. But good.
If you are looking for a turn-key product this is not it. The box was well packed and the bass arrived 100% intact. The strings were installed loosely and the bridge was not setup at all. I have another headless bass built from a Solo kit so I am very familiar with the Overlord of Music bridge that Badaaxe used. This is not a bridge that is ready to go right out of the box. The tensioner saddles are just threaded to the tensioner bolts and they are of a small diameter. This causes lots of issues such as high threading effort and saddle hang-ups. It should be dismantled and lubed with a grease with good film (white lithium) strength and the threads worked to the full range of motion (and lightly lube the tensioner saddles) before attempting to tension the strings (one of my saddles broke during my first attempt. The replacement set can be purchased on the jungle site for $25). Once the bridge was sorted out and setup, the bass played very well! The fit and finish was pretty good with very few sharp fret ends. The action is good, the balance on the strap is really good since it has a hefty body weight. It features a set neck and the paint job is well done. The pickups are the same cheap humbuckers that came with my solo kit, functional but not great. The pickup mounting screw holes should be counterbored (or counter sunk deeper) so that you don't feel the screw heads while playing fingerstyle. The patch jack needed to be adjusted (too hard to connect) but was functional out of the box. This is a great value for a sub $200 bass. I use it for practice and writing and it very handy for that task....easy to grab and go. It came with a cheap gig bag case that is functional but has little padding. To improve it; it needs a better bridge and new soapbar pickups which would cost $300 more. Doing this prices itself about on par with an actual Steinberger Spirit series so I'd rather buy one of those.

Already back in the box after 1 hour
I thought a headless bass would be nice to have. But, not this one, at least. It wouldn't tune. The E string tuner got stuck. So, to avoid forcing and possibly making it worse, it went right back in the box. I read another review about tuner issues. I see what they meant. It was packaged in a gig bag. But the gig bag had styrofoam on it, like it melted on it. Anyway, nice look, but not playable. I'll be heading to the UPS store in the morning.

Good Buy
I took a chance buying this bass, but I do like it for the following reasons:-It does not weigh much compared to other basses.-Unlike other bass guitars, it's not neck heavy.-While the string's don't buzz, it only takes little finger pressure to play.-The pick-ups are good, and it has a full and rich sound.-It looks nice, due to its clear and simple design.-It stays in tune very well. However, one needs to use a Hex L-Wrench to tune it, which I think was included.

Great Bass.....but be careful of the adjustments
Great bass... sad to say I had issues with it, at first. The third A string was too long...being a novice to playing bass I tired the the bolt so tight, it almost stripped the nut...took the bass to one music shop they were afraid to touch it. But, I took it to Capital City Guitars in Olympia, Washington were a guy named Todd ...amazing awesome guy in one day repaired and adjusted the top headless end of the bass. I was going to return the Bass, before getting it repaired, but they ( the seller didn't have a replacement ) said if it is repairable, they will reimburse me for the repair cost. So, I'll be sending a copy of the repair cost to them, today. My grandson and I were excited, then disappointed....when 1st trying to tune, this bass...when it was 1st delivered to my house from the seller, but with the repairs that Todd made. The BadAax 4 string Headless Bass Guitar is a great easily tuning bass. I would had given 5 stars...if, it weren't for the repair issue, but, it plays and sounds great. My grandson wants this bass...for his own...maybe, in future it will be his.
