I have several older lights, some that use battery packs like 18volt nicd and an old maglight that uses D cell batteries so I had need of several different voltages, 6, 9 14.4, 18 &20 volt, these are bright and cover all the voltage ranges for all of my lights, so far they are all still working great and the batteries and battery packs last a LOT longer with these led bulbs in them. I accidentally knocked one over while it had been on for a long time, the only thing I had to do was set it back in place and adjust it as I needed, before I would've had to replace the bulb, not with these now!Great product and a great price, bright and durable.

Other LED-Upgrades I bought only worked in one direction (Polarity Sensitive), but Lantern Flashlights have opposite polarity from other flashlights that use regular batteries. In the past I had to modify my Lantern Flashlights to be able to use those other LED Bulbs. However, I have some that couldn't be easily modified. I found these bulbs and gave them a shot. They work well. They fit and light up without modification. Good Brightness.

I purchased these LED bulbs to replace the incandescent bulbs that came with my Ryobi 18v flashlight due to rough treatment my flashlights receive. Because LED bulbs are generally more robust I ordered these plus a set of less expensive incandescents to use as my spares. Well, never again, and I don't want to waste the time and expense to return. The LEDs have a dark hole in the middle of the light pattern exactly where you want the most light. This happens up close and far away. For this reason alone they shouldn't be ordered. In addition, I performed a distance test and these don't give off as much light and are totally useless for distance use with a large dark hole in the middle of the light beam. End all, don't waste your money.

The main problem with upgrading with old 6V lantern type bettery flashlight is that the bulb tip should be center negative, since the bettery is center negative. Most LED's avaialbe are all Center positive hence wont work.This product has no polarity, which makes it a very good fit for the 6V Lentern type battery. it works as advertized.So far so GREAT!!!As far as the light output, see for yourself. 1. LED bulb: lillumination cast center has a black shadow/eye but the white light is wide spread, illuminated the entire room with pure white light. Compared to 2. Filement bulb cast has center concentrated output and it is yellow and does not cover vast area. 3. LED has long life and I hope has lower energy consumption and hence I can hope it will run longer.So LED is NOT a "thrower" it is rather an illuminator.Also I expected little bit more Lumens.

Does not burn out when you drop the flashlight

Fits my 5 D cell Maglite but had to make a spacer for my 3 D cell Garrett. Bright enough but not exceptional. Much brighter than the original incandescent bulbs.

I replaced a bulb in an 18 volt Porter Cable flashlight. These bulbs put out more light than I thought they would. The light is bright and really illuminating. Being LED they should have a long life. I would recommend these to anyone needing a replacement.

I bought these to replace the bulb in an old Ryobi 18V ONE+ work light. They fit perfectly and are much brighter than the old incandescent original bulb. They also use a lot less battery power so the battery last longer before recharging.
