Frommer's Bermuda (Complete Guides)

Great book, great guides, nice maps, however……ALL of the information in this book is pre-Covid so A LOT has changed.Some ferries are not operating at all. The ones that are have much reduced schedules.We estimated that only about 25% of the stores, restaurants, and bars in Hamilton were open. The other 75% were not just closed but completely out of business with A LOT of vacant buildings. Shopping and sightseeing in Hamilton was a huge disappointment and the majority of businesses listed in the book are no longer operating. The best part about it though was the ferry ride from the Royal Navy dockyard and back. There were actually more shops open at the dockyard than in Hamilton.Tour of the Crystal Cave was excellent and Turtle beach was very nice with very few people there.It’s clear that Bermuda’s tourism industry was hit hard by the Covid pandemic and it will be a while before they recover. Even so, it is a beautiful island with spectacular beaches, reefs and crystalline waters that are well worth the trip.

Heading to Bermuda for a quick trip in June and even though finding information on online is good this gives me a nice quiet place to read up while I'm there to see where I can go and what I can expect.
