Exactly what I wanted

The case itself is great, if you like plain black. The holster is good for a year for me! I just ordered another holster (with case) since it broke. I last ordered one June 24, 2021, it’s now June 25, 2022! While it does suffer abuse as it’s clipped to your belt, I was hoping for a little more life. And that was my 3rd holster for this phone. Now I’m onto number 4…. The clip at the top of the phone is what always breaks. I wear it sideways so that part is almost centered on my body, which more protective than elsewhere. Trying a different brand this time…. The cases are fine, fit well and protect even drops on the face of the phone. I have a glass screen protector and the case is still high enough to protect the screen. And they’re still $20, go figure….

Great fit Thin Armor

This case achieves the goal of thin protection with a belt clip. I purchased this based on using another type of Encased product for an iPhone 6s. It is not as good as the Encased ArmorSHIELD Case & ClipPros:- Case is thin, non-bulky.- Flexible material easily fits onto the phone. Goes on or off easily.- Belt clip securely holds the phone. Stiff release clip prevents unintended release of the phone from the holster.- Easy to slot the phone into the clip one-handed, and by feel.- Clip can rotate to different positions for comfort when wearing on a belt.- Felt-like lining on clip protects the screen from scratches.- Clip can be used as a phone stand.- Edge of case is very slightly raised. This prevent screen scratching when placed face-down on a table.Cons (especially compared to the Encased ArmorSHIELD 2-piece case):- Case smooth and a bit slippery. If you want a grippy case this isn't it. The ArmorSHIELD had a matte outer layer with very good grip.- The cross-hatching on the back of the model I received is no where near as deep as shown in the photos. Its very shallow across the back and nearly non-existent near the edges. A deeper cross hatching may have improved the grip.- The release spring on the clip is very stiff, which makes snapping the phone in the clip a bit hard. You have to flip the clip with a thumb or press the phone very hard into the holster. It also requires considerable force to release the phone. The ArmorSHIELD catch had a softer spring and was easier to use.- No soft lining in the case. The interior is a textured rubber, not a soft material. The ArmorSHIELD had a soft foam lining that helped protect the back side of the phone from and dust or dirt grinding against the phone.Summary:An OK phone case and clip that add minimal bulk. A bit slick, so it will not enhance your grip on the phone much. Not as good as past Encased products.
