Lives up to the hype
Honestly very impressed. I own a made in USA Fender Jazz Bass, Mexican Fender Strat, and was convinced by YouTube Reviews that this was worth a punt. It lives up to the hype. I'm not even replacing the pickups. Sounds great, and importantly the neck is very put together. Only down side was the frets needed a polish (bit scratchy) but once done its 👌. If you're beginner looking for a good quality, versatile, affordable guitar to last you - buy this. If you're not a beginner and want to add a Tele to your line up - buy this.

Excellent Squier Fender
Excellent quality guitar, nicely finished frets and low action out of the box, good pickups, though I might change the neck pickup. I fitted Gotoh brass saddles and screed the body with copper tape. Looks great. The body is pine made from 5 separate pieces and is 8 lb in weight. Lovely paint finish. I also polished the frets, only one high fret. Recommend.

Fantastic guitar
This guitar was so cheap on Amazon that I couldn't stop myself buying it and I don't regret it at all. I do already have a Squier CV 50's Telecaster. This one feels and sounds similar but not the same. This guitar looks fantastic, with nice grain and nice finish. The frets were perfect, both in height and length, so no sprouts and no high points. The tuning machines are really good. The F hole edges were a bit rough with excess lacquer which I quickly smoothed out with an emery nail file. The electronics seem fine with precise control and no crackling. The sound is a bit darker than my single coil Telecaster as I expected and it distorts more easily with the humbuckers. All good! The guitar was set up pretty well but the nut was suspect as I was getting a sitar sound on the B string and the strings were sitting in very deep grooves. The guitar needed a twist of the truss rod and when I changed the strings to 10s I decided the not slots weren't right so I replaced the nut with a Tusq one which made it all good. The only thing I might consider changing in the future (see how it goes for now) is the bridge which is probably fine but could be a bit more robust. Overall it's an amazing buy and better in every way as compared to some cheaper Fenders I've seen.

Great budget tele
Build quality is pretty good but it needed some setup, the intonation was terrible and the factory strings weren't great. It plays really nice and has the standard Tele sound. Overall I would recommend as a backup or beginner guitar, or just someone who wants the Tele sound on a budget. You could easily gig with this

Excellent price for a different tele experience
I love tele’s and have several, but was looking for a semi-hollow. Had been watching the prices on these, and got this for an absolute bargain - probably close to half what you could pay. It is lovely and light, really resonant and great to play. Intonation is the only thing that needs fixed, but that’s common with this bridge type, will probably adjust the neck a little too when I change the strings, but it’s fine to play out of the box. Neck is quite slim but has that very shiny vintage varnish finish, which is matter of taste.

A very good guitar.
I have been playing all sorts of guitars for a very long time, and in my humble opinion, this is a very good guitar. A few little adjustments and it plays and sounds very good. Yes it is cheaper than the fender, but I do belive you pay for the name.

telecaster
it played well straight out of the box and gigged it twice the same week, it really is a proper workhorse guitar you can depend on,tough as old boots and not that expensive that you worry too much about it getting a ding or two, only changes i've made in the couple of months since i bought it was adding brass saddles and changing pickup height but both are down to personal taste rather than any problem with the guitar!

Disappointed
Seen great reviews for these guitars and also that there can be some issues with quality control so I was checking quite carefully. The problems with this guitar were quite obvious though. Fret edges not bedded down adequately in places so string could get caught on side. Also wood on body discoloured by what looks like mould. This has been in wood before it was sawn and glued to make the body. Probably wouldn’t matter on a guitar that was going to be painted but horrible on visible wood. Action and intonation issues could have been easily adjusted but the fret and discolouration issues were enough for me to stop and return the guitar. Honestly disappointed as I was hoping I’d be lucky enough to get a “good ‘un” from Amazon. Will probably go and pay a bit extra to get one of these for a music shop where I can check it over properly before buying.
