P Anti-Itch Shampoo, 8 oz.

Awesome for my allergy-prone Shiba Inu! It calms and heals up those hot spots far better than the medication the vet was giving us. She hates the bath, but is so much more comfortable after!

Recommended by my Vet. I live in Florida and unfortunately my two senior Poodles have many allergies to food and the great outdoors. This is the best product that I've ever used on them. It's very gentle too. As per instructions, it needs to stay on 5 minutes before rinsing. I give them a 5 minute massage to pass the time.

I have only used this shampoo once so far, but I really like it. It has a very rich lather - so you know how well you have your dog's fur 'coated' with this. I have been using chlorhexidine shampoos (antibacterials - to treat his relentless MRSA skin infection - and those shampoos don't lather, & they don't feel soft/ smooth like this shampoo does, and they haven't resolved the infection either). I'm not using this shampoo for that (it wouldn't work anyway, as this is not an antibacterial) - I'm using it to give his skin a 'break' from the chlorhexidine. Since he has severe environmental allergies & itchy skin, I thought I'd give this a try. It smells very nice (not strong/ overpowering) & when he was dry, his fur looked like it was glistening. Not sure if I would say it solved the itch problems, because nothing has. It seems to have helped, because he has been sleeping comfortably today (although still licking paws, as he usually does). Perhaps with routine use, there would be a noticeable reduction in itch. I like it enough to keep trying, & to buy it again. I wash my dog at least weekly, so this little bottle won't last long. I believe there was a larger size offered on Amazon as well.

Always use this for my dogs sensitive skin. Won t use anything else

I did a search for anti-itch shampoo and found this. Nothing in the description said it was for animals only.Not what I was looking for.
