Junior Encyclopedia of Animated Characters Hardcover – June 3, 2014

Ordered this book for my son. Recieved the book in excellent condition. Purchased the book from Arbor Books. My son loves it! Such a wonder book to add to his collection.

This is one of our favorite books! Purchased for our daughter to use as an autograph book for our Disney trip. Each character has their own page which makes it easy for signatures, and the paper is quite thick. I would recommend however if you are using it as an autograph book to have characters sign with a Sharpie marker. Has most of the characters and all of the more popular ones, however we did meet some that did not have their own pages so we had to have them sign the inside covers. The characters are very familiar with these books and some will write on their "friends" pages or make funny comments/drawings on their own. For example, the wicked stepsisters drew mustaches and crazy hair on each other's pictures, Gaston crossed out portions that made him seem mean, etc. All in all a great book and super cute to have as a keepsake from our trip. Definitely recommend.

My 5 year old loves all of the Disney movies and I got her this for Valentine's Day and it's quickly become one of her favorites. The book was only $8 and such a bargain for the excellent quality. The book is hardback with thick pages and has a removable dust jacket that has a poster on the other side of many of the Disney characters on it. The book has 143 pages of different Disney characters from both Disney and Pixar movies, including Belle, the Beast, Lightning McQueen, Anna, Elsa, Rapunzel, Dumbo, Bambi, Ariel, Buzz Lightyear, Simba, Donald Duck, Peter Pan, Nemo, and Jiminy Cricket to name a few. Each page has beautifully colored illustrations that look just like the characters and a short synopsis of movie information about each character as well as trivia, quotes, and little known facts about them (see photos).The characters are alphabetically listed and their names are printed on a colored banner on the side so you can easily find the characters you want to read about. Though she was familiar with most of the characters, there were some she didn't know and she became curious enough to want to rent the movies they are from. If you have a Disney fan, they'll love this encyclopedia!

Best autograph book by far!!! I cannot say enough great things about this book. Not only is it fun to look through on its own but it was the PERFECT autograph book for my kids. The characters were familiar with it and it served as a fantastic book for the kids to look through while we waited in lines at Disneyland. The only character we ran into without a designated page was Bo Peep, but we had her sign Woody’s page :) I have heard others comment saying they had some sign the inside cover when they didn’t have a page which would have worked well too. We also took the advice of others and brought a sharpie (the clicker kind) and it worked well with the characters in full costumes. Each page summarizes the characters story and gives trivia or a quote and we found these good conversation pieces and makes them think! Each night we were there, we also used the book for our bedtime story time and the kids purposely had us read the pages with signatures and talked about our magical experiences. Under $8 is a steal for this book! Look no further, you found it!

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this book as a autograph book for my son's first Disney trip. The book is filled with many Disney characters and their story, the Characters at the parks absolutely love reading about themselves and we had an amazing time while collecting their signatures. The book its easy to carry on your park backpack just make sure the park bag is waterproof or use a ziplock bag to put the book in it. We love taking the book out and seen the character signatures specially Cinderella's sisters had a fun time writing over some of the stuff written about them. We still have a few characters that need to sign our book. Its a nice keepsake that I know my son when he is old enough he is going to appreciate it.

I bought this to use as an autograph book in Disney World. It worked great for that purpose and was a nice size to fit in our backpack diaper bag. I noticed it was advertised to come with a poster and ours did not come with one. That wasn't a deal breaker or anything, just worth mentioning. The only complaint I had was that it did not have any Disney Jr characters at all. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old, so Sophia, Jake, Doc Mcstuffins and Handy Manny are all favorites in our house. We just had those characters sign the inside cover of the book but it would have been nice for them to have pages as well. Our 4 year old was a bit disappointed that they didn't have their own pages. There's also no mention of The Country Bears in the book at all, so again those autographs just ended up on the inside cover. Overall, this was a fantastic autograph book, easy to carry around the parks and a favorite keepsake for my kids now that we're home.

I enjoy meeting with the characters and getting their autographs. They love glancing through the pages.

A blog I follow suggested that we buy this book for our young daughters for autographs at Disney. It was the best idea ever! My daughters were 3 1/2 and 1 when we took them and would have never been able to read the characters signatures in a blank book. This book worked perfectly! The pages were bright and colorful, and the characters were familiar with seeing it from other families. For any characters that weren't in the book, or we saw twice they just signed in the back. I hope they make an updated version with new characters added so we can purchase it before our next trip to Disney.

Beautiful book , quality , not just for young children , it has good character info , is i deal for people that likes to draw too , well worth the money .

Thank you to the other reviewers! I'm so happy I got this book out of all the other ones I was considering. Alot of the Disney characters recognized this book, Ariel the little Mermaid even remembers her page number. It's a big book, yes but it just meant their signatures were bigger! We will go back to visit the characters that we missed, it's a fun way to make a mission out of it. A good hardy book. Note that you wont have every single page filled even if you tried since not all the characters in the book reside at Disneyland & CA.

Best Disney book to introduce my kid to Disney characters. Bought this book before we visited Disneyland recently. Gave the book to my nearly 4 year old daughter just before our trip and it got her even more excited about our vacation. We took a couple of pens with us for character meet and greets and for every character, we got them to autograph their character page. She wants to read one or two characters before bed each night. Really good buy!!!
