I like the fact that I could mix my paint on it and the acrylic paint lasted without drying to quickly as I worked. It's small, yet large enough. You can use one sheet over again as long as you wipe dried paint off.

I keep these pads with me everywhere I go: in my car, garage, outside, in my backpack, attached to my bike. I never know when my creative urge will strike, so I travel prepared. I get lots of value for my money.

My art professor recommended this so we can rip the page and throw it away after we’re done instead of using a palette and waiting for the ink to dry and stuff. I was surprised that it actually does it’s job done. The papers are very soft and smooth too.

The grey color is great when using white paint or clear mediums. Good weight to last a long session of creating.

I love the size (6X9) of this palette paper, and the color. One pad was in pristine condition, the other looked like it had gotten wet, the pages are wrinkled and the back cardboard is warped. It was also a day late in arriving which caused some logistical issues in obtaining other paper in time for my class the morning after the day it was to have arrived.

Firstly, be sure to check the sizing of your palette paper before ordering -- I knew what I was in for and it works great for my purposes, but more experienced painters/oil painters may want a larger pad!This pad works great foe color mixing. I bought it for a color theory course and the neutral gray tone of the pad itself really helps me distinguish between colors. The size is also nicely portable, pages are easy to tear out without destroying, and the paper is thick and well treated.HOWEVER, my product arrived with heavy water damage. The cardboard backing of the pad was very warped, and the final few pages of palette paper must have gotten soaked enough that they are no longer coated properly to not absorb the paint. The pad does not lay flat due to this. I did not have time to return the pad before my class began, so it will have to do, but be warned that the product may arrive less functional than intended.

The Richeson palette is in neutral grey, not white, so you know how much lighter or darker your color is. A smaller palette takes up less space on a table and is handier to use. It's ideal for my purposes.
