Artist Perspective : perfect EDC !
Was actually thrilled to find out that the instrument was not outright grey but is slightly earthy undertoned in different light which I absolutely love. While being the epitome of Bauhaus design principle, no wonder the full sized iconic Lamy Safari have been stealing millions of hearts of artists and writers from decades. Form over function is what I have always resonated with and the Safari fulfills my needs in every ways I expect it to. It was indeed much far ahead of it’s time with sharp body design and the sturdy but lightweight ABS plastic (this particular model is one of the few matt textured bodies available which provides extra grip), the same materials used in legos and also things like mixer grinders so trust me when I say it’s virtually indestructible. Behaves well with permanent and non permanent inks equally with very smooth flow, no hard starts and also makes fat juicy lines even thicker then the twsbis. The fancy black chrome steel nib adds to the aesthetics, is not overly smooth. A little feedback is enjoyable with a slight bounce on the nib (rare in this price segment) depending on the strokes you’re using it for and can produce slight line variations in both hot and cold pressed papers. Is reliable to use in reverse too which very few pen does in the similar price range. The light weight material allows to securely post the pen without making it back heavy which then can be used for longer durations. The infamous clip is the most favourite component of this fountain pen and can be slipped into jackets, trousers, bags, pockets, clips and what not, you would want to take this pen everywhere you go especially if you enjoy sketching a lot making it a robust EDC . Comes packed with the converter with a capacity enough to last for a day and more (sketching requires more ink depending on the size of work), I know it’s not too much but it’s great if you like to use multiple inks which is again very easy to clean and maintain (I secretly wish it came with a piston filler though, but I ain’t complaining) making it a good value for money proposition. The body always aligns facing the nib no matter how you screw it, a very small detail but enough to tell you the design was well thought out. I absolutely hated the peculiar grip and I still do, but I don’t mind because I have an artist grip so it doesn’t really comes in my way. I absolutely highly recommend it !

Overall good
It feels like a katana cutting anything in its path while writing with it. I went for the medium nib but to be honest I think I needed the fine nib since I am used to the pilot metropolitan medium nib. Still since the nib of this pen can be changed and customised as you want, i would say you can go for it. I have used this pen only for about 1 day so it might be just right after some usage I suppose. I liked the converter too. But since a lamy cartridge was included I wanted to test that. I am not sure what shade of lamy blue the ink cartridge was but it was a light shade and faded quickly so i didn't like the cartridge ink. But after filling it with Parker quink. O my god it does feel like a katana. The grip is too good. Absolutely comfortable for someone like me with large hands.

Perfect pen. At Rs. 3000 great value for money
This is worth the money. It really is. As someone who has little appreciation for pens (fancy/expensive) i bought it for my wife, who loves a good ink pen. We both agreed that this is the best pen either of us have used. It is strongly recommended. The writing quality is effortless. The ink flow is very good and doesn't dry up if not used for a few days. Very easy to hold, good grip and sturdy build quality. On a functionality para meter it ticks all the boxes. Currently using the cartridge which is exceptional.

A Sturdy and Versatile Fountain Pen: A Review of the Lamy Safari
I recently purchased the Lamy Safari fountain pen, and I'm pleased with my purchase. The design is sleek yet sturdy, with a perfectly balanced body that fits nicely in my hand. The nib is finely crafted from stainless steel and provides easy, smooth gliding of ink on the paper. The range of colors Lamy offers for this fountain pen also allows for a more personalized experience. One of my favorite features of the Lamy Safari fountain pen is the ability to adjust the nib size. You can switch between thin or thick lines with ease, which is ideal for those who enjoy experimenting with calligraphy.I am extremely pleased with the build and design of this respective pen, and the overall writing experience has been great. The ink doesn't often smudge, which is a problem I had with some other fountain pens, and any clogging is easy to resolve. Additionally, the nib is easy to maintain and comes with a cap that securely holds the nib safely when not in use.The Lamy Safari comes with a standard nib that feels slightly stiff, but it’s very smooth. You can buy additional nibs (including 1.1mm and 1.5mm) if you need motivation, but with practice, the standard nib can be quite versatile. I also like that the pen is refillable and has a handy clip for attaching it to your pocket or case. So, overall the Lamy Safari fountain pen is the ideal choice for any writing enthusiast. The design and writing experience are incomparable, especially given the reasonable price range. It's a great fountain pen that is a must-have for any aficionado. Highly recommend!
