In its price bracket, this is the mp3 to go for.
This mp3 player is brilliant. My Sony Walkman battery got so weak that I was having to keep it plugged to the charger to use it for anything less than a few hours! So having trawled the market and read countless reviews I settled for this one. Not the cheapest but I am of the view you get what you pay for. The appearance is simple and classy. The touch buttons have the right amount of sensitivity and the screen is crisp enough for my purpose (I don't need photos or videos). At this price one can hardly expect mobile phone resolution. I would prefer the album images to be attached to the listings as it would be quicker to find the one I want and it would be good to have a search facility but one cannot be fussy in this price bracket. The quality of sound and volume is perfect, however I would like more distinction between the different settings on the equalizer. I have not used the supplied earphones as I have my own which stay in place better. The lock screen feature is perfect and effective. The volume and on/off buttons are perfectly placed and the record button is distinctive so that it can not be mis-pressed. The radio is easy to use and picks up the normally available stations. However once albums are loaded there does not appear to be a way to default to the last listened to radio station when turning on, as the player defaults to the last played album and you then have to back out of Music and move on to Radio which is a number of button steps. The battery is amazing. You get at least 50 hours of use on one charge for Music, and about 15 hours for Radio. Of course time will tell how long the battery can continue to hold charge, but this is a great start. A small matter, most albums downloaded fro the PC places the 10th song behind the 1st! I have not checked to see what happens when the order is crucial, ie on a classical piece. This is annoying as one gets used to the order of music on an album and to have it played out of order can be disconcerting. Akamate as a supplier is excellent. they dealt with a problem I had without any question. If you are not sure what to buy, I cannot fault this as value for money and decent quality.

Full and comprehensive review, with instructions, tips and issues.
I bought this player to use with a 128 GB memory card, to play through my home WiFi system, connected via a Bluetooth audio adapter. It connects fine with no problems and the sound quality is great – although to be fair, the sound is coming out of my home speakers and it’s adjustable via my graphic equaliser. I’ve tried it with my Bluetooth headphones and the unit connected with no problems and the playback was flawless. It was easy enough to transfer music. Simply connect to your laptop and drag and drop the music across. Do be warned though, this can be time consuming. I transferred approximately 65 GB of songs and it took roughly 4 hours. I have nothing stored on the unit itself, everything is on my memory card. One issue that I have is every time I switch the unit on, I have to manually load the memory card, or the unit doesn’t work properly. It’s no big deal, but it’s not explained in the manual, so I initially thought that my unit was faulty, until I eventually figured it out for myself. If you’re having problems with the error “file not supported”, or if skipping a song skips to the next album instead of the next track (or doesn’t even skip at all), then it sounds like you need to load the memory card up as follows: Select “music” then scroll down to “card folder”. You will then be asked “create list or not, Yes or No”. Select “Yes” and wait for it to load up. I have to do this every time I switch the device on. It’s no big deal though, I just have to remember to do it. You have two ways of viewing your songs (bear in mind all of my songs are stored on the memory card): 1. Select “music” then scroll down to “card folder” – this will list all the individual songs in alphabetical order. 2. Select “folder” then scroll down to “card folder” – this will enable you to view the contents of your memory card in the order that you created it, so probably better to organise the folder beforehand. Create a folder for each artist and put albums by each artist into their respective folder. This way, you can view all your artists in alphabetical order and when you click on an artist, all their albums will be listed in that folder alphabetically. The 2nd method of viewing my songs is fine by me – list of artists in alphabetical order and the albums in the folders are listed alphabetically. When scrolling through your artists, etc, you can’t scroll by page at a time; you have to keep your finger on the scroll button and scroll through them all individually. This might sound a bit tedious, but in all fairness it’s fairly quick. I’ve got 208 artists in my list and it took roughly 90 seconds to go from top to bottom. Bear in mind that you can scroll up from the beginning to jump to the bottom of the list, so that cuts down the time even further. There are three play lists which you can add to, but you can only add one song at a time …. you cannot add an album; you need to add the tracks individually. I have a play list on another device which consists of approximately 200 songs …. I’d like this play list on this unit, but I don’t fancy adding the songs individually!! There are instructions in the manual explaining that you need to create a folder and copy songs into it – thus creating your own play list before inserting the memory card into your unit, so at least there appears to be a way round this, but I haven’t tried it, so I can’t comment either way. My biggest issue with this unit is the lack of a search function. I have approximately 75 albums listed under “various artists” as they are compilations, etc. Now unless I know which album a particular song is in, I haven’t got a chance of finding it – unless I fancy looking through all of the individual albums. Overall this device is superb value for money, hindered only by the lack of a search function. If you want something with extra functionality, go and spend £100+ and buy something flashy. If you can put up with a few minor issues, then it’s well worth its £20 price tag. Just a word of warning – don’t make the same mistake that I did. When you click on the item, there is a “frequently bought together” section and it has a nice case in there which I assumed would fit. It DOESN’T FIT in the case. The full description for the case is: “AGPTEK Portable MP3 Player Case with Metal Carabiner for 1.7cm MP3 Player, iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle - Black”. It fits in width ways, but it’s just too long for the case and you can’t fasten the zips, so DON’T BUY THIS CASE FOR THIS UNIT. All in all, it’s cheap and after a bit of playing around with it, I’ve found it to be quite user-friendly ….. I just wish it had a search function ...... I give this 4 stars out of 5.

The prices is reasonable; MP3 with high cost performance;
I have been looking for a mid-priced MP3 player because I often fly by plane. Listening to my favourite music while flying is always my favourite moment and the best way to kill free time in flight. I was surprised to see such a great MP3 player. It comes with an armband, a charger that can charge MP3 players and can also transfer music from a laptop. It has 16gb of built-in memory, enough to play music for several hours. However, you can increase the memory to 128GB with an SD card. It also has a pedometer and an FM player. The interface is simple and the sound quality is good. This is the best gift for friends and family because the price is reasonable,

WOW!!!!!!!!
I RECENTLY SOLD MY 128GB IPOD TOUCH AS RARELY USED IT BUT THEN FOUND I DID MISS IT FOR THE ODD OCCASION I DID WANT TO USE IT, SO AFTER LOTS OF RESEARCH I DECIDED TO BUY ONE OF THESE, TO SAY IM IMPRESSED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT, ITS A GREAT LITTLE DEVICE, I PUT ALL MY MUSIC ONTO A 128GB SD CARD AS IT ONLY HAS A SMALL AMOUT OF INTERNAL MEMORY, THE ONLY DOWNFALL I FOUND WITH IT IS THE SOUND IS A BIT TINNY WITH THE HEADPHONES PROVIDED, I DID'NT INTEND TO USE THEM ANYWAY BUT WANTED TO SEE WHAT THE SOUND QUALITY WAS LIKE WITH THEM, AS SOON AS I PUT MY BEATS HEADPHONES IN, IT IMPROVED THE QUALITY OF SOUND SO STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU BUY A DECENT PAIR OF HEADPHONES TO GO WITH IT, OTHER THAN THAT I CAN'T FAULT IT AT ALL, GREAT LITTLE GADGET ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE.

Good for the price
I bought this because it's a good price, it has twice the space of my existing MP3 player and its supports Bluetooth. This is all good and the player is reasonably easy to add music to and to operate. The touch screen does not always respond and the menu is just ok. On the down side the tracks seem to be listed by file name rather than the track name in the file tag so are normally not in the right order. Also folder and track names are truncated. The equalizer made no discernible difference to the sound with Bluetooth headphones but works ok with wired headphones. The player did not reconnect to the Bluetooth headset the second time so you have to connect manually again. Sound quality is ok if a bit tinny. Build quality seems to be an issue with some people so we will see how it goes on that one. The biggest issue I have with it is that the screen is almost unreadable in bright daylight, you can just about read the highlighted title and that's it, desperately needs a backlight. Overall ok for the price but could be better.

Good MP3 player - Awful software drawbacks - not quite as wireless as you would expect!
So I got this MP3 player for my sons wireless beats headphones. On first arrival it looks great. Layout is lovely and actually the functionality is really quite good. Sound quality is also not bad. I thought I would then put a few of my music videos on it. You first have to convert the video to the right size then transfer it on to the player which is easy because they provide you with a lovely piece of software installed on the player. You turn the Bluetooth connection on the player and connect it to the wireless headphones. Now here is the problem= - You then go to go into your videos and it says "Turn off Bluetooth YES /NO.” If you select ‘yes’ turn off Bluetooth you can watch the video with no wireless head phones or you HAVE to go get another pair of wired earphones to listen to them. If you select ‘no’ it will take you back to the menu doing nothing. Ok so you drag your music onto the MP3 player and if you try to play it by looking through folders exactly the same happens you have thst dreaded to you want to disconnect from your wireless question comes up again. Absolutely ridiculous !!!!Other than this major oversight it plays JUST regular wireless music OK. Again you can only use wireless headphones in one mode category mode ie select album, gene artist etc. Really can’t emphasis how annoying this this. The other major pain for this particular product is you have to keep connecting to the wireless headphones. It wont automatically do this or remember the same pair of ear phones you use everytime. - you will have to have the headphones in for radio to work. But this is normal for phones too so I could live with that. - The record button sticks out on the side so it is easy to press and quite a lot of clicks to get back to where you were. To summarise it a WIRELESS player that if you want to watch music videos or listen to the radio you HAVE to go get a wire. If you want just to play MP3 wirelessly only then its perfect. If you have a wire headphones, no problems !!!

Nothing to dislike.
Bought to replace a 8GB MP3 player that had run out of storage, no expansion slot either. 16GB is enough for what I wish to install, music wise. Not checked with a micro s.d. card but the option is there if required. Fully charged prior to use, fitted the included clear silicone case back protector - nice addition that. I also noticed that there is, I think, a pre applied screen protector which doesn't seem to affect the touch. Connected to my laptop and the device synchronised perfectly with Windows Media Player which I used to load music files. It works with MP3 and WMA as described. All the music has sorted alphabetically and any album art displays too. Bluetooth works perfectly although only used to connect wireless earbuds for now. Found them quickly and connected. No drop outs so far.. Can't comment on the other functions, don't need or use them. Not tried he included earphones either but suspect they are not that good? For a simple to use and good sounding music player though, excellent and recommended

Drag and drop capability. Good memory space.
Bought this inspite of all music available now via net/app which you will need to subscribe and rely on good signal. PRO Drag and drop capabilities Ive got 50 songs and have plenty of space still Battery life is magnificent Touch screen is sensitive Speaker is loud enough in a small room and quiet environment Small, light and compact (pic with gloves for comparison) Bluetooth connection is easy Music clear using headphones CONS It will not connect to my car bluetooth (rav4) Can only pair one device at a time. Would have been better if it keeps list of previous connected devices. FM didn't work. It cannot find a signal where i live Pedometer- not sure why this is added, it is useless for me Overall, i bought this for easy accessibility with music and that is what it gave me. Good and clear music. Have been using this all the time now. Preferred this rather than my phone.

Great quality mp3 player with bonus features
I was pleasantly surprised when I received the Mp3 Player. In the age of iPods and Smart Phones with mp3 capabilities, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I bought the mp3 player so that my son could use it to listen to stories and audiobooks on long trips. So far, the interface and capabilities are better than expected. Included in the box, to my surprise, was a case for the mp3 player and a pre-installed screen protector. This is a nice touch and was something that I was going to have to get to protect the device from my son anyway. The device is charged by USB-C which is great as I don’t have to worry about him plugging in the charger the wrong way and damaging the device. It’s not a touch screen, but the buttons are touch and simple to use. It even has an FM radio! Adding songs and stories to the device was very easy. I currently use a Chromebook and the mp3 player was recognized as soon as I plugged it in. Adding songs was a simple drag and drop. The player then shows the songs in the same folder structure that shows on the computer, making it very customizable. I’ve had the mp3 player for over a week now and have only had to charge the battery once, and my son uses it every day! Overall, I would recommend this to anyone that needs a device that doesn’t connect to the internet that can play music and the radio. The mp3 player also boasts that it can show pictures and ebooks, but I haven’t tested this feature yet. I am very happy with this purchase!

Fine for its purpose, not the best user interface, bluetooth is clumsy
It's a decent MP3 player. I use it for podcasts, and it does a reasonable job of categorizing them. I can find the ones I want and it plays them back reliably. There are many ways in which it's no iPod. E.g.: * It works great with my bluetooth earphones, including the pause/restart button on the earphones, but if you stop listening for a few minutes then it switches off bluetooth, and it then takes 8 finger clicks to get through the menus to where you can re-activate bluetooth. * To fast-forward in a podcast you have to hold down the "forward" button, and it goes forward at about 1 min/sec. This is nowhere near as fast and direct as the iPod's "dial the wheel" interface * The interface is annoying. You can't delete a podcast unless you re playing it. The "forward" and "backward" buttons can easily do unexpected things: if you press them while the podcast is playing then they fast-forward or rewind at about 1 min/sec: fine. But God Forbid you press them while playback is paused: then it will forget where you were and you'll have to find your way back again. * While liistening you have to remember to always click the button that disables the controls. If you don't then any little touch, just from putting the unit in your pocket, is liable to make it drop you out of your podcast and it's a pain to find your way back to where you were. So I use this thing a lot, and I swear at it a lot.

Well worth the money I love it
I just was looking for something simple to play music on in my car instead of using my cell phone came across this nice little device and it works wonderfully the sound quality is good and if you look at the picture I did not even have to use a cable to hook it up to my car so with that being said I saw in the description you can't just hook this up to you a device like your car with our using the AUX port and cable but YOU CAN!!!! not just only a bluetooth speaker or Bluetooth headphones you can actually hook this thing up to your car without any cables awesome

What Could Have Been
Well made. Nice assortment of quality accessories, especially the clear silicone protector. The sound is incredible. Never heard so much rich bass! Now for the negatives : 1) the song title is in the upper right corner in tiny fonts and only 2 words long. Should have been below the picture of the turntable where there is a ton of unused free space. 2) I have quality bluetooth buds but if I put the player in my pants pocket, I lose connection to the earbuds. Never had this problem with other players. 3) DEAL BREAKER...... It has a tendency to clip the first second or two of the beginning of a song. Can't go for that. It is a shame for such a terrific sounding player that I must regretfully send it back and start the search all over again. :(

With Bluetooth it Skips the First Few Seconds of Every Song. It's Going Back.
When playing through a Bluetooth connection, it misses the first few seconds of every song, so it is worthless to me. I tried two different SD Cards, and two different Bluetooth receivers, and now I see someone else had this problem in the Questions area of the product page. Very disappointing, because otherwise I like it, except that it is also annoying that when using Bluetooth and you turn it off and back on, the Bluetooth On setting has switched to Off, so every time you turn it on, you have to back out to the main screen, move to the Bluetooth Icon, press OK, move the setting to Bluetooth On, press OK again, and when it says "Pairing" it isn't yet paring until you press OK one more time, then it says "waiting" then it pairs, then you have to back out to the main menu, go to the Music menu, etc. to start playing again. I notice when playing without Bluetooth, it has the great feature of going right back to what was playing when it was turned off, even mid-track, so if you don't use Bluetooth, it works very well. Come on, if they think users don't want it to automatically resume Bluetooth when it's turned back on, then just put in another setting called "Bluetooth Always On".
