Their customer service is even better! *by L***E on May 20, 2014* I am now officially on my third Eye-Fi card (explanation to follow), and I just ordered a 32 GB Mobi card and I cannot imagine every going back to the old ways of taking the card out of my camera, inserting it into my computer and transferring files.For the product itself, I'd probably give it 4 stars because I do not tend to give anything 5 stars for something that's just supposed to work in the first place (that's what we paid for).The real reason I gave it 5 stars is because of their outstanding customer service. It's also the reason I'm on my third card.I bought this card back in December of 2013 to replace my 8GB card. I sometimes shoot RAW and 8 gigs fills up fast. However, once I got this one, my transfers kept timing out, batteries ran down fast as a result and it would take hours and hours to get them to transfer. Because I had some other wireless issues going on with my network, I always blamed that, but even after I resolved them last month, my card behaved the same. It was enough for me to turn off the RAW storage and go strictly to high quality JPG. Definitely not my ideal. I don't do a lot of post work, but I like having the data there in case I ever wish to.About two weeks ago, I decided to contact the Eye-Fi customer support to see if, perhaps, my card was defective. I gave them all the pertinent details and after a few exchanges, they determined that my card was defective and shipped me a new one.Here is what made their customer support outstanding:1. At no time, did I feel like they were trying to talk me into thinking it was me or shift the blame on my equipment.2. At no time did they talk down to me3. The steps they had me take were reasonable and not silly steps that were completely not relevant to the issue at hand4. I have a technical background with my strength being network administration. They were able to recognize that I had technical knowledge and treated me as such (as opposed to most tech companies that follow a script for everyone; sort of a one size fits all approach)5. Their responses came to me in a reasonable manner and gave the impression that they were working WITH me to solve the problem. No scripted apologies; simply a "let's get this resolved" approach. (If anyone has ever called a tech company you can always tell that the person at the other end of the line is directed to apologize every five minutes for just about everything. They do not recognize that the person at the other end of the line did not call for the apology but to resolve the issue.)Every company out there is going to have something that does not work the way the customer expected for a variety of reasons. What they do about it is what can make the difference between a really good product and a great one.Lastly, I just put the new card in and it works exactly as expected.Lastly lastly . . . I also highly recommend their cloud storage service. It's worth the yearly fee to know that even if your house burns down, your precious photos and videos will be stored in their original formats.And lastly lastly lastly, If you are thinking about this product and have any questions, please feel free to ask. I'm happy to help. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product *by L***B on January 4, 2013* My husband purchased an iPad 4 for me for Christmas because he had read online about shooting from camera to iPad to view and edit photos. At the Apple store, the man sold him a $30 camera adapter so I could transfer the files. Once I got to my studio after the holiday I connected my camera to the iPad but was disappointed to see that it did not transfer photos as I took them, instead it acted as a USB reader and transferred files that were already on the memory card. This was a complete waste and not at all what I needed. So, I did some research and found out about the Eye-Fi card, and of course checked out all of the reviews for it. I purchased it, and received it yesterday. When I got into the studio today, I set it up, and although it took me a little while to figure out all of the settings so that it worked for exactly what I wanted (less than an hour) I have it up and running and it works amazingly! I do a few events throughout the year where clients can choose their photos on the spot, and it isn't reasonable to move my whole computer set up to my shooting area to shoot tethered to my PC, and it obviously doesn't make any sense to try to travel with it. Well this is a perfect solution. I have the Canon 1DS Mark III. I use a regular CF card to record all of my RAW files for transfer and editing on my PC once I'm back at my studio and use the Eye-Fi SD card to transfer small jpeg files directly to my iPad. The photos on my iPad are strictly for people to see their photos, and I won't be editing or saving these files, so I use the S jpeg so it transfers extremely quickly. In less than 3 seconds, files are ready to view. This helps to boost sales a lot, because a lot of people will order less at events if they are unsure how their photos turn out. It does take a little set up work on both the iPad and camera to get this all to work out this way, but like I said it doesn't take long.One drawback I did see was that it seems as if my iPad looses the connection to the card, and then you have to go back into settings and wifi to reconnect. That is a little inconvenient, but I set it to automatically connect, and I am hoping this fixes the problem. One piece of advice though, if you plan on using this app with your camera and you may not take a photo for a few minutes, you may want to turn your sleep settings off on your camera. I did notice that the wifi disconnected after the camera went to sleep and it took a minute to reconnect.All in all, it is an awesome product to shoot "tethered" with, and of course the fact that everything is wireless makes it so much easier!
