To be honest, I bought this scale for its looks. As the pictures try to show, it matches very well with my glass bathtub doors, my glass shelving (on which it can be stored nicely), marble tiles, and mostly brushed nickel fixings.As long as the scale is *consistent*, its accuracy is not really that important in my opinion. But you *do* wonder, how accurate is it really? Should I really believe those fractions of lbs it displays, or are they just meaningless?First, this scale needs a hard surface to stand on; it does not work correctly (reads too low) on a bath mat or shag carpet. In particular, the ground may only press on the legs, not on any other part of the bottom of the scale.But the ground does not have to be very level. The marble tiles in my bathroom are not. Still, I get only a maximum 0.2 lb random variation when moving the scale around. I do not succeed in creating more random deviation than that. (A reported 1.5 lbs random deviation suggests to me that there is a problem with that scale. It seems self-evident that your total weight is obtained by adding the weights of the four legs together, so if just one leg is inaccurate, that could make the readings very random, depending how much of your weight is on the bad leg.)As far as the accuracy is concerned, the claims made by the manufacturer are "highly precise" (meaningless) and "precise up to 0.2 lbs" (is that accuracy of the measurement or how precise the more inaccurate measurement can be read off?). Like others, I decided to do a test based on my weight of 128 lb measured at my doctors office. As soon as I got home, I measured my weight on my own scale, **without eating and drinking anything in between measurements, without going to the bathroom in between measurements, but with wearing the exact same things, with the exact same things in my pockets**. I got the measurements 129.0 and 128.8 (remember the 0.2 lb random deviation on my rough floor of marble tiles). Does the fact that 128.9 is not 128 mean that my scale is less accurate than 0.2 lb, despite the apparent suggestion of the manufacturer? Not necessarily. The scale in my doctor's office had a digital read-out of 128 without decimals; so the actual measured weight in the doctor's office can have been from 127.5 to 128.5 lb. In addition, no sane company is going to spend a lot of money to achieve an accuracy that cannot be read off in the first place, so assuming that the doctor's scale has about a 0.5 to 1 lb measurement error seems reasonable. So my data does not conflict with the apparent suggestion of 0.2 lb accuracy of the InstaTrack.Another reviewer wrote that known 10 and 20 lb weights were measured accurately. Since I do not have calibrated weights, I used four one gallon containers of water. Using a new kitchen scale with a range up to 11 lb, I measured the containers to weigh from 8.59 to 8.63 lb, for a total of 34.44 lb. (I computed 8.35 lb for a gallon of distilled water, which with a measured 0.14 lb container would give 8.5 lb instead of 8.6, but the containers do not necessarily contain precisely one gallon. In fact, if they did, I do not know how to explain that the 8.63 was distilled water and the others spring water. Apparently they are filled by weight instead of volume. And the kitchen scale claimed a "high precision strain gauge system". Well, at least it and an older 1 lb range "Good Cook" mechanical kitchen scale, which is completely accurate if my measuring cup is, gave the same exact 11.5 oz for a coffee cup.) When the water containers were put on the InstaTrack, it measured 34.4 lb, the correct amount. Since the kitchen and InstaTrack scales would be unlikely to agree exactly if one or both was inaccurate, and the same for my old kitchen scale and the measuring cup, it seems that the suggested accuracy of my InstaTrack is true.Update 5/27/21: I seemed to remember the scale at my doctor's office read 128 lb. But it actually read 129 lb; it is right there at "followmyhealth". So the doctor's scale and the InstaTrack *did* indeed measure the exact same weight. Sorry about the confusion.

I really like that my flooring shows through the glass. The Scale is so easy to use - I love it! And you can’t beat the price!

The scale works just fine. I was disappointed that there is no backlight or real illumination of the numbers. You can read them OK, but no old scale actually illuminated the numbers so they were easier to read.

Low enough to place in a location behind a door. Door goes right over it! Accurate.I was concerned when it arrived because it didn't work. Discovered the batteries that came with it were dead. Problem solved.
