I had been looking for a large barrel curling tong for a while. I saw this & decided to give it a try & I am so glad I did. My hair is quite long & this gives beautiful bouncy curls. There is a protective glove but I find I don't need it. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased these curling tongs to replace my very old ones which, actually still work but these have a more efficient and easier to use heat control/temperature switch etc. They are good at what they do and are designed to do but, they are very heavy. In fact, they are the heaviest styling product I have ever come across and I have used quite a lot over the years, including rather heavy straighteners. Do not purchase if you are unable to hold items for hair styling for very long and, at shoulder/head height etc.

While not a "big brand" in the sense of modern marketing and the industry, these are a good set of tongs. They heat up quickly, have a sturdy easy-to-grip handle and are straightforward to use. They don't overheat and so are good for fine hair. They cool down quickly and are easy to store. They're a good set of workhorse tongs for your haircare routine.

Fantastic curlers. These are so easy to use and give great results. The curlers have 5 heat settings for different hair types which is good as not all hair is requires the same heat. I like this feature as it protects your hair from using too high a temperature that you don't need. This means you can find the perfect temperature for your individual hair type.The cord is about 3m long so no more having to sit by a plug socket because the cord is too short. It has also has a swivel cord so it doesn't get tangled. The tongs themselves are quite big but they are surprisingly light. The tongs have a stand to prevent them burning anything when put down. The tongs heat up very quickly and the heat stays too, it doesn't fluctuate whilst being used which I have experienced with other curlers. A heat protector glove is supplied which is a nice touch, many I time I have caught my finger when curling the back so this is very useful. The glove protects against when you accidentally catch the tongs whilst styling, they don't protect from burns if you were to actually hold the heated section. They protect for about 2 seconds. I don't mind this as it's stopped me burning my finger a few times. The tongs do stay hot a little while after turning off so be careful with this. I usually give it about 10-15 minutes whilst getting dressed before putting them back in the box just to be safe. The curlers also have an auto shut off after an hour which is an added peace of mind incase they accidentally left on.Overall I am pleased with these, can create nice curls or waves and the price £34.99 (at time) is great. If you were to go to the hairdressers for the styles you can create with these it would cost alot more, in time and money. If you are new to curlers and unsure how to use them to get professional looking styles then YouTube is a great help. I definitely recommend these.I hope this was helpful

I really wanted to like this cutler ‘cos i wanted a blow dry look but the curls doesn’t even last long, i hair sprayed it and even pinned every section i curled hoping it would last but nope 🥲

I was hopeful I could use this, but as it’s really big and chunky, I had to ask someone else with longer hair to try it out. Results are in; a huge winner.It’s really easy to use. Unlike old style tongs, this grips easily, doesn’t singe the hair and it works really quickly. Bounce and body is added within seconds and the hair feels and looks slick and soft after application, rather than rigid and dry. Combing through, the bulk and bounce is retained. This is a genuinely WOW👍👍👍 gadget. No safety concerns as it’s a UK plug and CE accredited.

I had high hopes for these curling tongs and envisaged having glossy loose waves or tumbling curls in minutes. Theoretically, I should have done: the barrel size is larger than usual hence giving bigger curls or waves and it's straightforward to use - slide the switch up to turn it on to your preferred heat level, clamp a section of hair in the tong and wrap, hold, release.In reality, they let me down. Whilst the barrel is wider than average, it's also shorter than average, so for someone like me with long hair there isn't much room to wrap the hair directly in contact with the ceramic tong. As a result, the hair ends up wrapped around itself which means that you have to leave it clamped for longer or risk having the higher part of the hair length much less curled. These curling tongs really are unusually short - stumpy, even! I've tried several techniques but the results are always the same. I have to leave it curled around the tong for longer than i'd like, and initially the curls are OK. Not great, not very defined, but OK. However, even without brushing them through, within 30 minutes they've all but dropped out. I have fine hair, and my other curling tongs can create tousled waves (that last several hours at least) pretty easily, so i know it isn't just the fact that my hair doesn't hold curls.They come with a lightweight glove which is intended to help protect your hands while curling, but be warned they're not heat 'proof'. They help if you accidentally come into contact with the metal but won't truly protect your hands. The curling tong clamp has quite a prominent lever/handle that is silicon (i think?) coated but only at the end, and it protrudes quite far out from the tongs; on a couple of occasions i burned my neck on the handle.These just weren't for me - i'll stick to my curling wand for now.
