The True Measure Of A Woman: Discover your intrinsic value and see yourself as God does Paperback – June 5, 2007

We're studying this book in our youth (the guys have a guy version) and it's really good. It's really repetitive so I get bored but repetition is a good thing and it always ends chapters off on a high note like ur satisfied with your learning kinda thing idk

Lisa Bevere spoke at a women's conference I attended last month and I fell in love.She is so real and has such wit that you can't help but to be intrigued by her. WhatIike best about this book is it walks you through a journey with God of placing valueon yourself. Without seeing our value as women, we won't fulfill everything God hasfor us on this earth...we will fall short. Lisa obviously has not fallen short and sheis a woman after God's own heart...a women I would allow speak into my life any time.

This is a wonderful study book to take you deep into many aspect of who we are in Christ and who we need to be. We are using this book as a study guide for a women's group this year. A discussion guide is developed for each chapter (by our Women's Ministery leader) and then we sit in groups and discuss the questions as they relate to the chapter and the Bible. We are really loving this format and the book is bringing up subjects that would not normally be comfortablly discussed.

I am only half way through and I LOVE IT!!!! Lisa is bringing to light things I have noticed for years but could never get anyone else to see. I am so happy I found this book and purchased it. It IS on my list of 'suggested reads' for my women's ministry group.It's common sense and direct approach will help you greatly.You will be blessed by it. (Keep your journal on this one...it will really help put your life in perspective!)

This book was very enlightening and really made me rethink of the things that I thought was important? I know that they hold absolutely no importance at all in helping me to become the True Measure of a Woman.

As our society places more and more emphasis on women enhancing their physical appearance and/or career in order to "be somebody", this book is a necessity and much needed reminder to women of our true worth in Christ, regardless of how we look, feel, or behave. It's a reminder that all the dieting, exercising, make-up, job advancement, relationship status, etc. will never fulfill you as only God's truth about you can.

One of my favorite books and it completely changed my life. I highly recommend this to any woman, in any state of mind. A must read.

This book is loaded with insight and simple logic. We as women fall prey to the world's rules for us and lose sight of what God intended for us all along. I'm getting ready to read it for a second time....it is so full of wisdom that I need to devour it all again.
