Easy to use
We have been using the Gladiator wall tracks for garage storage for awhile now and have been pleased with the system. We had been using the bike hooks to keep our kids bikes off of the ground but as they have grown, so have their bikes and I struggled with lifting the heavier bikes in a way to get them secure on the prior hooks. Enter the "Advanced Bike Storage" system. This thing is SO EASY. I just need to get the tire in the "general area" and it takes care of the rest. We have been using this system now for over a year of regular use and have been impressed with the quality and durability of the product. We should have just started with these over the other bike hooks in the first place.

Definitely worth it over the regular bike hook
The media could not be loaded. I purchased both this advanced bike hook and the regular bike hook (which does not have the button) to compare before deciding which one to load up on for all of my bikes. My conclusion was that the advanced hook is DEFINITELY worth the extra cost. It is so much easier to get the bike on and off compared to the regular bike hook, which is a pain. Additionally, it will fit much larger tires than the regular hook.I've noticed some reviews mentioning that the bike sticks way out from the wall when mounted like this which is true of all hooks of this style, however this hook allows you to turn the bike sideways/diagonally on the wall (see video review for what I mean) so it doesn't stick out as far from the wall.As others have mentioned the hook is plastic, but it feels very sturdy to me. I haven't had it long-term yet but I am not too worried about it holding up.Ultimately I ended up purchasing 3 more advanced bike hooks after doing the comparison of the two. The advanced hook is better in every way outside of cost, though the price disparity is not so much that it's worth dealing with the basic hook.

Best On Gear Wall
Works well, easy to install and works great. Can’t say anything about longevity yet, too soon but all of my other Gladiator products have lasted a long time without failure.

Great hook, don't discard it when it gets weak
I bought several of these hooks and used them for years. They are terrific for holding bakes against the wall. This one snaps into the Gladiator rail system. Be sure to lock it in place with the yellow tab so it does not pop out. They do make another model that screws into a stud so be sure you buy the right one.One day one of them started sticking and would no longer close around the tire automatically. I fiddled with it, assumed it had just worn out, and threw it away.A few weeks later a second hook started sticking. I looked at the inside mechanism and on a whim I sprayed some silicon lubricant through the hole where the arms emerge. That brought it back to life! Desperately I searched for the first hook but I had indeed thrown it out.So I ordered a new one... For some reason (Covid probably) there was a national shortage of Gladiator Bike Hooks! It was backordered 6+ months. Thus I paid the price in time and money for discarding a hook that just needed some lube. (sigh)

Wow! Where has this been all my life?
What a innovative concept! I'm a 64 year-old woman with a bad shoulder, and I've been lifting my bike over my head onto (and off of) a horizontal rack for nearly 20 years.I installed the Gladiator system in my garage roughly 1O years ago, but I never considered a new bike rack until I saw this one advertised. This is a serious game changer! Just lift up 2-3 inches, hit the button and you're hooked! Lift up 2-3 inches, hit the button and your free! I also appreciate the fact that you can turn your bike against the wall to free up more space.Initially, I had trouble with the hook coming out of the Gladiator tracks, but I soon discovered that I hadn't "locked" it securely into place. Problem solved!

Perfect solution and great price
Got this “used like new” and aside from the box being a little scratched in the outside, it was never opened! Score! I needed a solution for hanging my daughter’s bike while allowing my car to come and go. Luckily you can swivel this quite a bit, I also put a bungee cord on some eyelets to keep it from swaying. Very secure and easy to use! Gladiator ftw!!!!

Doesn’t work
Modern mountain bikes have fat tires with big rims. I thought this would reach around the rims and hold up my bike but it doesn’t. The arms on it are too small and the spring thing is too big. This product is over engineered. What I really need from Gladiator is a larger version of the regular bike hook that works for big tire bikes.
