Athletico Premier Tennis Backpack - Tennis Bag Holds 2 Rackets in Padded Compartment | Separate Ventilated Shoe Compartment | Tennis Bags for Men or Women

So I ordered this bag because I prefer the backpack style of tennis bags for its ease of use, especially when travelling. 1. Size. The bag was indeed big. A lot bigger than I anticipated, which isn't a bad thing. I can easily just not put as much "stuff" in it and it can collapse quite easily into a small area such as under the front seat of a plane. (of course, minus the racquets, which went into the overhead compartment) But if I stuffed it with as much as the bag could accommodate, it would have to go into the overhead compartment. And when I do stuff it, it can hold as much or more than my previous traditional tennis bag that held 2 racquets sideways with the other side filled with my tennis "stuff." 2. Zippers. My worry about purchasing a bag like this is the zipper coming apart where the racquets are stored. But the zippers are situated in such a way that even if there weren't any zippers, it still worked. I found that I didn't close the zippers because it was easier and the racquets could be adjusted to the side or straight up and down and they stayed that way for the most part. I really only transported the thing to/from the car and courts so it isn't really a big deal. But when I did try closing the zippers to the bag, it has a locking mechanism on them that keeps them in place so that they don't open. They are easily unlocked by lifting the handle of the zipper and opening it. 3. Hook. I LOVE the hook at the top of the bag so that I can hang it from a fence and not have to worry about placing my bag on a dirty ground where it can cause wear and tear. I used to use a large D-ring clip to hook my other bags to the fence. 4. Chest strap. There is a strap that can go across your chest in case you want to secure it for a longer trek like a hike or something. In my opinion, it wasn't necessary for what I mostly use it for. But if I were to use it for a hike, I would have also liked a waist strap that could support the weight of the bag as well. But I use it for tennis, so it isn't necessary and like I said, I use it to go to/from the tennis court and the car. 5. Pockets. It has a shoe compartment at the bottom and a smaller compartment in the front where I found I put a lot of stuff. (keys, mobile, dampeners, overgrip, pens, hair clips/ties, Ibuprofen, Icy Hot, wrist sweat bands, socks, headphones, charger cords, energy bars, etc) It is surprisingly big and I find I liked that it was a convenient place to hold a lot of those small things you need in a jiffy. It also has a mesh bag that can be clipped inside for whatever. I didn't really use it for anything specific but I could see using it to put socks or keys or something. The side mesh pockets are large but not big enough to hold my large Yeti insulated bottle, which I didn't expect it to hold anyways. But if I had an average sized water bottle, it would definitely fit. Overall, I am very pleased with this bag and love it so far! Time will tell if it holds up to the rigors of use as I play tennis at least 5 days a week. I'll update this if I find anything to report.

this is an amazing backpack. it is HUGE. I use it for the gym, and it fits 2 pairs of shoes, a pair of flip flops, my hair styling bag, my shampoo and toiletry bag, my make-up bag, my gym clothes, a small set of boxing gloves, a change of clothes, my ipad, and there is still a lot of room to spare. it has 2 nice side pockets for water bottles, or keys, phone, etc, and a nice roomy front pocket for all my gym accessories (lock, headphones, etc). It also has a very room shoe compartment. It's very versatile, and has nice padded shoulders for comfort. It does look huge as well, and when it's full it's hard to fit in a locker. but it's exactly what I wanted so I give it 5 stars and then some.

This bag is monstrously huge. I wanted a big bag but man I did not know it would be this big! Overall it is a good bag with good pockets and amazing storage due to its massive size. But I often find the racket pocket unzipping itself and not staying zipped. Other times I often find the shore pocket unzipping itself as well and not staying zipped and my shoes fall out. If you want a huge bag this is definitely the bag for you. But be weary the pockets may not stay zipped.

My 13-year-old daughter just made her intermediate school tennis team. To congratulate her, we told her she could pick out a tennis backpack to carry her gear. She looked at dozens on Amazon and initially chose one because it had a designated shoe storage pouch. But since that item did not have free returns in case we didn't like it, I told her to pick another. She settled on the pink Athletico and we are so glad she did! The backpack is exactly as described. It is very well made, durable, and has a bright pick color that my daughter loves. She decided to use it for not just her tennis gear but all of her school gear as well (laptop, notebooks, etc.). It fits everything with out being too huge! And my daughter is also so thrilled that this backpack has a vented show compartment so that she can keep her tennis shoes from touching the rest of her items. Wonderful purchase and we are very happy with it!

Lightweight and roomy, but only one mesh pocket inside. Raquet slot is roomy, but zipper doesn’t stay in place, so racquets are not secure. No hanging hook.

I'd had the same tennis bag for 20+ years, and the design wasn't great. It often led my shoulders to be hurting after treks with carrying all the weight. This design helps distribute the weight and keep me organized. Loved how you can hang it on the fence, the mesh bag for the balls, the padding for your rackets, and the extra space and pockets for lots of organization. Worth the price for sure!

Bought as gift, and she loves it

This bag will hold everything my grandson has to have at school each day including 2 tennis rackets, uniform and shoes for tennis match. This is he third time to buy this bag. The first one (red) held up really well for almost 2 years until a water bottle pocket fell apart. The second one (blue) is literally falling apart after 4 months. The back strap breaking and coming apart at inside seam. So we try with another red one. Hopefully this one will get us through this school year.
