Philips FLEX BT2000A/37 Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Blue/Green)

Bought for my daughter and her IPOD full of music. She loves the design, color and pop out speakers. The quality of the sound is pretty good given the price and size. Sync'd first time we tried to her IPOD. No hesitation in recommending this to others. Again, the quality may not satisfy a sound guru listening to orchestral recordings, but for pop music it works great.

I think this was a fake product. It was poorly made and broke immediately.

The package was wrapped and broken when delivered, hard to believe it as a 'new' item. The speaker itself works fine.

I bought it for my Mac Book pro because the originals speaker are very low. I was very surprise how loud they go for the price I paid, very convenient for a picnic or in the shower, while cooking. Worth it !!

Te Philips Flex speaker is cute and portable, and can get loud, but the audio quality {sigh} Philips audio! You can do a lot better, a LOT better. The sound quality is roughly equivalent to an old am radio. It is a unidirectional speaker. not only do you not have stereo or surround sound but there is a substantial drop off in sound if the speaker is turned or pointed away from you.I would give it a 2 for sound, BUT is is an inexpensive speaker and it would not be appropriate to expect audiophile quality. However, I was expecting something more from Philips audio.The speaker paired easily with my phone. All I needed to do was charge the speaker, turn blue tooth on and make my phone discoverable.It is a simple device, small, light and colorful. I want to say appropriate for the beach, but not many electronics are appropriate for the beach. I get the feeling that this was designed as a fashion accessory as much as an audio product. I want to tell Philips that they should include a matching set of shoelaces (a colorful matching shoelace comes with the speaker to hang it, attach it to your bag or belt loop, though I find it a little large for the latter). I won't lie. I have definite audiophile tendencies and what I want from a speaker is sound quality. This one is the worst in my house, the kind of audio quality I would expect from an appliance manufacturer, or even some of the fad brands, but not an audio company. Philips can do better.I was looking for the bass boost I am seeing on everything lately, expecting it. I am not disappointed that it is not there, but the sound is no better for it having been left out, fuzzy, narrow range and tinny like an am radio.If you want this for a day out in the park and what you are looking for is portability and ease of use you will not be disappointed. It also, true to advertising, produces a lot of sound for a small speaker.If the quality of that sound matters you will probably be disappointed. If this cost $20 I would have given it 4 stars.Did I expect audiophile quality in a $40 speaker? of course not, but there is a broad range of audio products, and speakers available. I had hoped that an audio company would have put more emphasis on sound.
