Professional Dog Scissors Set, 7 Inch/8 Inch Curved Chunkers & Thinning Shears with Grooming Comb

Let this be a sign that you can do great work with basic beginner shears! Very glad these are affordable and get the job done.

Not only is the color beautiful, they cut so much better and nicer than some others I have used! We rescued a poodle, our first dog that needs grooming, with being retired and continual grooming costs for a poodle I decided to start getting supplies to do it myself! The scissors cut well, giving a more equal cut. The curved pair work great, especially around the face. They also come in a very nice leathered zippered case, with a cleaning cloth and tightening too if the scissors need to be tightened. The comb has both a fine and wide side which works much better that antipated. I love the way it goes through the poodle hair, so would work just as well if not better for long, straighter haired dogs! Try them, you won't be disappointed!

[Veteran professional groomer. Needed a backup set of shears that didn't break the bank. These were recommended, so I gave them a shot.] I've been using these shears for a couple weeks now. There's good and bad, but I really can't complain for the money. (You can't expect super-fine quality for super-cheap prices!) First, I saw some reviews mention issues with the color, so I'll start by saying the color on mine was as nice as advertised. Obviously, as with many cheap products, there is more variability, and it can be a crap shoot what you receive. Luckily, mine are pretty. None of the shears are a perfect fit for my hand, but sufficient for short term or infrequent use. I did need to add rubber finger guards to a couple pairs, which helped some. Shears are not super lightweight, but not heavy either, and are decently balanced. All of the blade edges seem well sharpened. The thinners didn't work AT ALL right out of the box. We'll see if my sharpener can do anything for them. The straights are just okay. Sharp, but a little clunky in comparison to my good shears. (Are we surprised?) But they function. They don't give the impression that they'll last long though. The curves are like "super curves"! Very curved blade, which I have come to really enjoy more than my other curved shears, which I honestly rarely use. These new ones are getting a good deal of "testing" and successful use! I'm pretty happy with them! (I saw another review that mentioned their curves were nearly straight. Again, obvious variability of cheap products.) The chunkers are my favorite! So far they are working well, and I'm using them on nearly every dog. They have been functional on a variety of coat types and thicknesses. I don't expect them to hold up a long time like a quality shear would, but I'm hoping they'll prove me wrong, because I'm kind of in love. They cut exactly how I wanted a blending shear to cut. Overall, I would definitely recommend this set to both professional groomers (as backups or starters) and pet owners grooming at home. No shear will fit every hand, so comfort will be subjective. But for a price this low, it's a great deal, and worth trying.

For the price, they’re decent. They’re plenty sharp but I don’t expect them to hold an edge very long. The case is of extremely low quality (no surprise, really), but useful, and I appreciate the inclusion of a key to tighten/loosen the hinge, and even a polishing cloth. I find myself using the thinners and curved shears almost exclusively for my at-home grooming, and I expect that I’ll need to upgrade to a pair of curved thinners very soon.

Great value for the price. The chunkers caught a tiny bit when I first used them but after adjusting a bit they are amazing! (I’m a groomer of 10 years. I don’t have a good sharpener near me so I got these to hold me over until I find one.)

I use this kit for cutting my bunnies hair. The finger holes are fine for my small hands, but sometimes will get a little stuck. The blades are extremely sharp and care must be taken when using. I do like having the different options for haircutting.
