Just a few number and it is able to download the latest software and ready to use. WiFi, NFC /EMV Contactless, and Chipcard/ EMV Contact, and swipe, all works perfectly. Actual programming only take 10-20min after you get a hold of somebody that is able to create the terminal ID on your account. Our old FD100 would also disconnect (lost comm with host) at will and we would have to start the transaction all over again. Our processor told us it was our phone line. We had Comcast check it out and it was fine. Then they told us the FD100 was too old....huh? You just sold it to us 2 years ago......and that we need a fancy all touch screen BINFORD 9500 for $$$$$. Don't drink the kool aid. This one works fine and transactions with the chips are fast.
