Have you ever wondered what that pocket on your shirt is for. You know, that pocket that's always empty, or sometimes has a pen in it, yeah that one. Its for this ruler, keep that pen company, get the ruler. Go ahead, look how sad your pen is, it needs a friend! In all seriousness, the build quality is 9/10, I cant stand the clip, but that's me. The steel ruler has just enough flex, and the etched scales are an amazing touch, they wont rub off. I use this ruler for on the go drafting, I like my straight lines. Has metric and standard, so I can do just about anything with it, including, stir my coffee. Max step resolution for metric is mm's, inches are in 64th's, which I use sometimes. The back of the ruler has a 64th -> mm chart. ex. 1/64" = 0.397mm, and so on, up to 1" = 25.400mm. Normally I don't get to excited when I find things made in the USA, like my hamburger, but this ruler exceeded all of my expectations in regards to quality. If given the opportunity, I would purchase this item again. One last thing, try to find a ruler just like this one, same size, same scale, same quality, for a cheap price, ill save you some time, ya cant.

4/2023. What I most like is the length, good for my shirt pocket or my ceramic pencil & pen container. Next I like having both INCHES and MILLIMETERS divided finely. The pocket clip at the end is perfect for moving up or down as necessary for measuring depths/distances. And of course, the inscribed steel base will last -- as a practical matter - for my lifetime. Finally, the price was really reasonable, and Amazon delivered it within two days (I don't have Prime).

This is a nice little pocket rule with English units on one edge and metric on the other. There is a 1/64 to mm conversion chart on the back. The cross piece is very handy for measuring depths and thicknesses. I have found Mitutoyo measuring instruments be of first rate quality. This rule is no exception. My only complaint is that they didn't accent the 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 inch points. This makes the scale a little hard to read. The scale is marked numerically ever 8 1/64 divisions which helps but requires the conversion of 64ths to what ever. I guess us old math majors aren't used to having to use actual numbers.

Was looking for a small steel rule that’s 0.5mm thick or as close as possible. I use it mainly for setting up million dollar production equipment in an industrial setting and some things need to be about 0.5mm, so this works as a feeler gauge without needing a separate tool for that. Also works very well as a rule. Easy to read and use. Excellent value. Trusted brand!

Mitutoyo makes excellent products. I use it daily and I also use it in my tally book to draw as-builts.

The size is perfect, really versatile and fits well in the pocket, love the conversion table at the back, feels sturdy and well engraved

Love this ruler! Within the first couple hours of use (as a woodworker), it has earned a permanent home in the top front pocket of my overalls. Key positives: metric & imperial, just the right degree of flexibility for me, very easy to read in most lighting conditions, and pocket clip is properly snug without being too tight. Highly recommended! Pay a little bit more than the cheap rulers, and get a whole lot more quality.
