Stupendously silly!
I love it! It would be absolutely hilarious if Tatsu got voiced by a specific voice actor! I can almost hear it everytime I read his lines and it makes it amazingly more funny.

nice story, good shipping and quality
there is a small problem with the cover; the spine is off to the left slightly. it doesn't bother me very much though, and the internal printing was just fine. i didn't see many other reviewers with this problem, so i'm sure i just got a faulty cover.overall this book was just as good as the first! i'm still in love with the art style, and the author's love for his shiba inu is adorable (he adds little notes at the end, they're very cute).

Fantastic!
I love this series! The Immortal Dragon and his wife are a match made in heaven. He has very unique ways to look at things. Very exciting. And so funny! I will buy and read the next volume soon. Highly recommended.

Poking fun and droll when its not being cute
Reviewing Kousuke Oono’s The Way of the Househusband, Vol. 2 IS a tad of a trick. Basically, it is a situational comedy. A former very dangerous, and still intense legendary yakuza (Japanese street gangster) has given it up to be a homemaker. He has not lost any of his determination that things be perfect for the boss, even it his boss is now a hard working wage earner and supportive wife. Mean time the old gang live still has it pull on him. Ok, so basically it is a situational comedy and on a few levels satire.AS seems to be typical in these kinds of comics, the story depends heavily of images and text can be spare. As long as you can figure out the convention, this is a fun light read.AS much as I recommend these mostly family friendly comedic tales, there is something of a one joke aspect that has me hesitating. I suspect I will read more of the series, and certainly seek out more examples of the comedic Japanese Manga, but I will not be getting House Husband books one after another.Reading them on my Kindle was ok. Less of a hassle than I imagined. If it is configured to be read one panel at a time, I could not get that to work, and advancing one panel at a time can be a drag.

My favorite sort of character.
I really like characters who look and act tough, but are actually really nice and capable. It's a quirky juxtaposition. The main character cleans, cooks, and shops for his household, but people keep looking at him and assuming he's going to do something nasty. He then turns around and gives them a good tip and unknowingly thwarts their attempts to harm him. It basically makes fun of stereotypes and assumptions. There is also the occasional chapter following the family cat with its own special brand of shenanigans. The art is clean and easy to make sense of, too.

the wy of the househusband review
this is probably my fifth time reading this series...and it's perfect every time... but the only thing that disapoints me is the fact that they dont go in more detail about when his wife and him got married. For all i know, they met, she took him in and they got married on a whim that is what disapoints me. Otherwise, the rest was wonderful and wholesome.

Yoga of the yakuza!
With that I am hooked, exercise, changes and a Kitty who has the attitude of one very much in control with this you have a perfect combination. Another amazing collection of shorts that will have you giggling with the misunderstandings and different view of life. This is turning into an amazing easy read series!
