Did the trick and fit perfectly, except for the clips being too thick for my Ford Freestyle.

The filter was easy to replace. Everything I read and even the automotive store says the clips that came with it should fit, but they were too thick to go through the holes. Ordered a snack pack set. Hopefully one of the types will work.
