Are these heavy? I want to know if they will not fall over easily.

They are not very heavy. I did not have any issue with them tipping over though. I used 12" tapers and 15" tapers in them.

Can these candlestick holders take the heat of long lasting candles?

I used these for a wedding. They had 12" & 15" tapers in them, and were burning for about 6 or 7 hours with no issue.

Beautiful, but the opening is too big.

These are beautiful and packaged well. However, they are too big for a normal circumference taper candles. Make sure you test. I had to shave it down so I could use the candle gum to hold it in place also.
