I think the Slurry made via honing was not as messy as using either motor oil or ATF . Good news, because I honed the cylinders with the block and crank shaft still installed . I cut down the honing tool’s twisted rod almost to the upper honing balls -in order to gain access to the 3 cylinders closest to the firewall. Worked great! Have a “lifetime supply” of their honing oil now ( 1 quart ) . Used about 2 ounces .

I use this to hone 2 stroke cylinder. Works well no issue with this product.

Good Tool

Honed a cylinder out with this stuff and she came out pretty with crosshatchings that were gorgeous. Too bad my cylinder was too damage to actually run it on my yz250. Will use this and the flex-hone on future rebuilds for sure to restore crosshatching. Don't need a ton of oil, and need to spin the excess oil from your hone into the trash using a power drill. When honing, use slowest speed and just hit it both drill directions for 10 sec each. Less is more like I said.
