The second time I used, the thing flew apart while I was pumping it. (It contains a strong spring). I could not put it back together. The other 4 have lasted, but not sure how long they will. Considering they came in a pack of five and less that half the cost of others I've seen (and one other type I have), it doesn't bother me too much that the first broke since the others have not and we have used quite a bit. The other type I have is like a bulb syringe that you have to squeeze. This one is A LOT easier and faster to pump up and much better for me with arthritis. Both types do a good job at keeping pressure in the bottle (but you have to pump a lot). Unfortunately, the fizz still doesn't stay IN the soda very well even when bottle it pumped all the way and highly pressured.

5 stars NOT!!! I put 5 stars so everybody would read this. NO! I give this ZERO stars. I bought these to replace one I already have because it soon stopped holding pressure. Now I have tried ALL 5 of these and not one of these G. D. things hold pressure. I have had three different types of these fizz stopper caps. This design is nice in that it pumps a lot of air with each pump and also it has a spring return on the pump plunger. Good and good. But if the G. D. thing doesn't hold pressure then it is no good at all. JUNK!! The Jokari fizz keepers have an effective gasket that seals to the bottle but the pump on them is crap. You can pump/pull, pump/pull to your little heart's content and after 50 -70 pump/pulls you will have pressure that will stay. So Jokari have figured out the gasket but not the pump. COME-ON-MAN! Get it together. What the hell!And one more thing don't believe all the goodie goodie things you read in these reviews. I'm sure a good many of them are nothing but "shills" blowing good things about their own product so you'll buy their product. I don't even bother with all the 5 star reviews. I go straight to the 1's and 2's to get the real reviews.

I had 2 stopper that did not work. They would stay in the stuck down position. One 1 threw away and the other, I tried to rinse with water - this helped a bit but it is still a be slow on coming back up for another pump. The others in the package were easily pushed down and would return to allow for proper sealing of the bottles. So - when they work, it works well - just not all of the tops worked. We use them for large bottles and even smaller single serve pop bottles.

Very limited use and doesn't hold pressure. So, the contents of the bottle go flat!

Funny story... I 'invented' this project while talking with a friend. Very quickly I had a feeling this is too good to be the 1st time someone thinks this up and it turns out I was correct. So I had to try these out. Using is as easy as it sounds. So does it work? Very very well. From my own experience, after using this cap with several different drinks, I can tell that it will keep your fizzy drinks much fizzier for 2 or 3 days after initially opening them. This is good news for me, because when we finally buy Cola or similar drinks (they are poison, you know that, right?) these drinks normally last for 2 or 3 days. Usually 1 day after opening the fizz is much less and using these caps you can keep it going for those 2 or 3 days! Will it keep your drink feeling fresh for 7 days? Nope. I highly recommend it!

Although I've only used 1 out of the 5 in the pack I purchased, so far, it is working as advertised. Pressure in a 2 litre pop bottle has been maintained for several days at a time, between drinks. Just be sure to remove the plastic cap ring from the neck of the plastic pop bottle, to ensure a tight seal.Durability remains to be seen, as I've only been using it for a couple of weeks now.

I think these are a better design than the other pumps available here.Don't let the lack of prime shipping keep you from purchasing these pumps. They work great.Just don't let your kids over tighten them or they will break.Glad they come in a multipack!

Works best of than the other ones I purchased... Jokari 130087 and the Jokari Fizz keeper Pump Cap. My one quality improvement is the center little internal black cap needs to be better sealed... sometimes falls off into drink... I just grab it and reseat it. One of these times I am just going to not put it back on. Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a bigger one of these that has about three times the volume of pressurizing air. I need to pump about 30-40 times for a half full 2 liter. pumping 10 times would be much better. Make one with a larger pressurizing volume and I would be glad to pay double/triple your asking price ($25-$30 bucks) for it.
