Cool Little Garage Cabinet
I would give it 6 stars if possible. Solid material and easy to assemble, it has a nice industrial look. Packaging was sturdy and it arrived without a scratch. Definitely reduces the clutter of open shelving. It adds a nice pop of color to the workshop without making it look too sterile. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for; I'm happy I didn't go the economy route as I'll be enjoying this cabinet for the next 20 years (hopefully...)!

Another great Craftsman addition!
Just finished getting mine together. Took between 60-90 minutes. As always, instructions could be a little more clear but for the most part makes sense. If you can get a helper to hold wrench while tightening might be slightly quicker. Despite the fact that Craftsman isn't what it was when my dad was my age and started buying, I decided to follow in his steps and be a Craftsman man. I continue to grow and build up my supply over time and have honestly been more satisfied than not. Other than their bits, most of the stuff is still great quality, at least for today's standards. I'd recommend this product, just remember. When writing reviews for a PRODUCT, don't critique packaging or shipping, that isn't the products fault, that's in the supplier.

Damaged and missing parts
I had two of these cabinets from Seas Craftsman. I needed a third and got this one from the new Stanley/Lowes Craftsman. I purchased this one from Amazon. Minor issues.: The lowes Craftsman red is not the same as Sears Craftsman red. The craftsman label with this unit is different from the Sears Craftsman versions. The aluminum door handles are wider than the older Sears Craftsman cabinets. The cabinets won't match up with Sears Craftsman units, so plan for that. Not a big deal. In my case, this unit is going in between 2 older Sears units, so the difference will be masked. Bigger issues: I purchased this knowing that it was an Amazon return. They are supposed to check things carefully before reselling. They didn't. It arrived considerably damaged. I had to repaint the doors. It was also missing nuts and bolts. Also, the bolts are way too long. The instructions say they are half inch, but the parts I received are 3/4". They stick into the cabinet far enough that they will obstruct placing items. Finally, the carriage bolts are too thick for the thickness of the metal parts. The manufacturer must have known this because this unit came with washers to compensate. But, one washer isn't enough. To tighten the nuts I added a second washer. Ironically, the Craftsman logo was completely broken off, but I got it back on with double sided tape. Had I looked carefully at the parts when I first got it, I might have returned it. Since I waited too long to look, I made do.

Don't blame China
Yes, Craftsman has been traded around a few times over the years, and you're definitely not going to get the quality of the Craftsman that your grandfather had. But nothing we have now is at the quality of things 50-100 years ago, so that's pretty irrelevant. Pros: 1. It's extremely easy to put together. I ended up building 3, and after the first one, I ignored the instructions, it was so easy to do. 2. It's thin metal, but this does lend it to be lighter weight, over all. Useful when you want to put things up on a wall. *See note below 3. Because of how it's constructed, you can bolt cabinets next to each other, to each other. This gets rid of nearly all the the gap between the cabinets, and ties them together structurally. 4. Everything lined up just fine. Absolutely zero issues assembling. 5. If you don't like the Craftsman name on it, it pops right off with zero effort. Cons: 1. It's not the same "Craftsman Red" that the red was even a few years ago. This doesn't match the other Craftsman storage I have. That's not a lighting issue, in the photo. This is definitely a lighter hue. I personally don't care that much, but it is a negative, since it doesn't match their own products. 2. It's very thin metal, so it doesn't lead you to thinking it will be very sturdy. Expect things to look a bet bent or wobbly. 3. Yes, it has holes for mounting 16 or 24 on center. But if you put two cabinets next to each other...you won't be on studs anymore. Guess they were more focused on you using their wall mounting system, didn't care so much about other applications. Neutral 1. Because you assemble it, it is on YOU to make sure everything lines up right. If it doesn't, loosen everything up, and adjust it. Outside of massive production problems, there's no reason anyone should complain about things not lining up. 2. Value is okay. I'd find it to be a much better value closer to $100 per cabinet. Last year, it was listed at $99 for a while - Look for it around this price. Definitely don't buy it for higher than $120. So, overall score: Could have been better, but not bad. *NOTE: If you are mounting these on a wall, I highly suggest you mount the back piece first. All you have to do is put the screws on the back, loosely attach the nuts, and attach the back piece to where you want it on the wall. You can then assemble the entire rest of the cabinet in place. This makes it extremely easy if you're doing this alone, and don't have an easy way to lift a cabinet onto the wall.
