I like the knives that came with this one. Especially the shorter one with the curved top. It seems to handle the wood better for me while the longer, pointy one worked well for more detail type work. Comes with multiple size blocks which is nice. I did not get a guide for any specific project but I found a Google Drive link on Beavercraft's website with various templates. The 1x1 blocks are a little small for me to do anything with.
