I was going to refinish the wood, but figured the same thing would happen in a year's time. So, I went to Lowes to see about getting a laminate to cover the damage. They didn't have anything in stock, but I found samples I liked and would order it online. When I went to their website, the laminate I wanted was out of stock. After waiting a couple months, it was evident that Lowes would never restock the material. I never thought I'd find laminate on Amazon, but I typed in a few key words and found many styles and patterns of Formica. I was struggling between two colors, and eventually ordered the Prestige Walnut. I was a little hesitant, but was surprised when my order arrived in perfect shape a few days early. The Formica was a gorgeous color, matching my desk perfectly. All I needed was a couple days and a can of contact cement, and my desk looks like new—actually, better than new. Thanks Amazon.
