Steel Tongue Drum Percussion Instrument 11 Notes 12 inches Black

The media could not be loaded. I shopped for a few weeks trying to choose just the right steel tongue drum and am so glad I chose this one. It came packaged securely. It has a very nice double zippered, padded bag that has a sturdy, comfortable handle and adjustable strap. Really is a great bag. Tongues/keys are numbered already but they do give you 2 strips of replacement numbers. Chunky rubber feet and a belly plug ( I have not tried to take it out yet.) and the key is on the belly marked with a D by the sound holes.With 2 sets of mallets, 2 sets of finger pads, and a little music book you are ready to play by yourself or with a friend. Our drum was pretty much in tune straight out of the bag.I leave it out on the ottoman and no one can resist stopping to play a bit before moving on to what they were doing. It is easy to learn ( from the book and by ear) and easy to make up your own beautiful, relaxing tunes. We never get tired of hearing it played. Very relaxing and de stressing. So glad I talked my husband into this one! Love this drum set.

Love the tone, love the ease to play. Found some 'free' tongue drum sheet music on-line, and got a feel for playing. So soothing and calming. Don't know why I waited so long to get one! Sound healing - here we come!

Got this for my 8-year old granddaughter for Christmas. Everyone wanted to play it. Rich sound, snd very well made, at a reasonable price. Nice carry case.

I really enjoy this instrument. Everything came in what it’s suppose to be included. The only thing I noticed wrong here was the music booklet. The music booklet, there’s 2 repeated pages song that are the same on pages 07and 09 Called “Kangding Love Song”. Also the booklet had another error , where all the songs are listed. On Page 07 it states the song “ Friendships Last Forever” which didn’t appear on 07 page. That was a bummer. But other than that , the Steel Tongue Drum is really cool, fun and I’m happy with it. Just wish the booklet was created accurately. It’s very Therapeutic and soothing to me. Nothing was broken or missing. But just make sure to check the booklet for any error.

The media could not be loaded. I like how this 12 inch drum sounds. It has a good volume and a long lasting resonance. I love the color and how easy it is to use your hands to make music. Don't judge my video lol. That was one handed holding the camera with the other outside on a swing. Don't play with your hands? Don't worry it comes with mallets which makes the drum even louder. It does have some weight to it so it is good it comes with a carrying case. It makes bringing it with me easier. Out of all the 12 to 14 inch drums this is the most spot on in tonality. I enjoy playing this every morning when I get up and every chance I get during the day. This is a good price for such sound quality. I have paid way more and got less. So happy to fine this nice 12 inch drum. You will be very happy too if you buy this drum. Enjoy!

This is way better quality than I had anticipated and the noise is beautiful and calm. Fun all around for anyone in the family. Great sensory item.

First of all, what I like about this drum. There are several drums that look just like this one and they are all higher in price. I think they are identical to this one so why pay more? This Drum came with a couple of extras: two sets of drumsticks which are excellent in quality and a little drum stick rest thingie, a drum case also excellent, 10 finger knobs - not- 5- as in other drums, a really nice song book and some extra number stickers. Everything seems to be of high quality.Now the things I didn't like as much. This is more of a toy than a musical instrument, but to be fair, it is a chance to have a hang drum at a reasonable price. The sound isn't big. Most of the notes sound good but it depends on where you strike them. A couple notes are flat or not as pleasant as the rest. However, there are instructions on how to tune the notes and what musical instrument does not require tuning? I would say that if you want a hang drum and can't pay for a larger size, out of all that are available this is a good buy.
