PowerCurl is a cord wrap for the MacBook Air power adapter (Air or Retina). It makes it easy to unplug and pack up quickly, without having to untangle a mess the next time you set up shop.

Ok, but not as good as the original design - please bring it back!!
I had one of the original 60W for my laptop and loved it (and had many people asking me where I got it) so I was excited to get a new one for my 45W power adapter (for a different computer). Unfortunately, while the new design might look slightly more stylish, it's not as functional. In the original design the cord stayed securely wrapped (not quite sure how to explain it but there were little hooks included to attach the end of the cord to what had previously been wrapped, keeping everything nicely in place). In the new model there's not quite enough space to wrap the cords and they keep popping up a bit so I feel like I'm trying to fold down the rubber super quickly to keep everything from becoming unraveled. I also don't like that you have the ends sticking out of the cover. One positive is that you can only unwind a small amount of the cable (depending on how far away your laptop is from the outlet) and keep the rest coiled up. I'll use the product as it's nice to not have cables going wild in my bag, but I'd buy an older model in heartbeat if I could find one that wasn't super expensive.

POOR design! Does NOT function as intended!
I REALLY REALLY regret that I bought this for my macbook cord. I wanted an organized look during use & for compact ease of travel. But it does NOT work for either purpose for multiple reasons:1. The bottom piece for the cord cut-out does not line up with the base of cord;2. The cut-out should have been on the side (the rubbery part) so that the cord comes out the side, NOT the bottom which causes the winder to sit lop-sided;3. There's also no second cut-out for the other end (the skinnier end) of cord.I had to cut two holes on the rubbery side-part: one for the thick-base-cord & second for the skinny part of cord. Even then, you CANNOT wind the cord neatly inside. The entire length of cord has to be unwound to adjust the length of cord needed for use. And, for travel, I have to secure the entire cord holder with a think rubber band to keep the cords inside this & to keep the cord from unraveling.

I found a few problems.
I was really excited to buy this. It came in and I was impressed with the way it worked as described. I found a couple of major flaws though. the chord never goes on the spool quite as easy and clean as shown in the picture, maybe my fault, but there isn't much room for error. But the biggest flaw is when my MacBook Air is very low on battery and it is really pulling the juice from my charger, the charger was so hot it stopped charging my MacBook Air. I unplugged it for about 30 minutes and let it cool, and it started charging again, but not for very long, it got hot and stopped again. I took it out of the Quirky Powercurl and after it cooled back down it charged completely like normal. So in review, it works great if your just keeping your MacBook Air's battery topped off, but if your having to play catch up and really charge it up, then you may run into an overheating situation.

My Third One - Get yourself a "What Is That"
This is my third Quirky Powercurl. I lost the first one by leaving it in a hotel (complete with my power brick, ARG!) and this last one is for a smaller MacBook Air which has a smaller (and lighter !!!) brick and needed a smaller Powercurl. People ask "what is that" and think its a great idea but I've never seen another one anywhere. Buy it, you'll love it, and get asked "what is that" everywhere you go!

An modest solution for cable management with some caveats.
If you are a frequent traveler or coffee-shop telecommuter, the Quirky Powercurl is an effective solution for cable management with some caveats. It snaps over your existing MacBook power supply easily and without tools. There are separate tracks for the mains cable and for the laptop cable which make it easy to pull out only the cable you need. The silicone cover retrains and protects the cable in your luggage or bag. From there, problems start to emerge. The silicone is tacky, and it will attract dust, dirt, and stray bits of paper in what you thought was a clean bag. While you can hide the magsafe plug within the silicone cover, you the mains plug cannot be hidden in the same way. It dangles out of one of the four provided cutouts on the top of the Powercurl where it can be easily snagged while inside your bag. Since there are only four cutouts, wrapping the cable for storage requires some patience. More cutouts would have helped, and a slightly bigger design would have made it easier to wrap the cable. A means to velcro, snap, or secure the mains plug in another way would have helped even more.Overall, the Powercurl does offer a modest improvement if you travel frequently and use the mains extension cable for your Macbook power adapter. If you don't, there's no advantage to using this product.

The company was great and refunded my money within minutes of me emailing ...
When I first bought this product. I ordered the wrong size. The company was great and refunded my money within minutes of me emailing them about my mistake. They also let me keep the one I ordered for free (which didn't really matter to me because it was the wrong size) which I think shows their great customer service. The product itself wasn't great. It takes quite a bit of yanking to separate the two parts and the rubber part that covers the cord is annoying to pull back every time you want to unravel a cord. Also, The cords don't line up to the parts their supposed to so it's always sticking out at a random point. I don't like the product, but I love the company.

Great concept
I got super excited when I got the package. The color on the box looks vivid and seeing the past review, I know the color is accurate. I was just bummed out when I opened the package and a grey one came out. Now, I would’ve kept it, but the problem was it was a 60w powerqurl. So, I returned the item. Other than that, I like the concept. My husband and I travel around. So, we take our Macs everywhere. So, it’s very handy. I hate twist-ties. It’s convenient. It’s not bulky either. At least in my opinion. Now in regards of breaking cords; you’re not supposed to wrap around it tightly. It’s a 4/5 in regards of getting the wrong item.
