Works very well...easy to set up!House now stays quiet

First off, Amazon solicited my review, though I returned this product to them for a refund. Not because it didn’t work well because it’s phenomenal, but because it appeared to me I was sent a used unit when I paid for brand new. So, I decided to order these speakers directly from the manufacturer on the West Coast, and I was given free shipping as Amazon gives. That said, the Audio Fox speakers are phenomenal. My husband, a retired police officer, after many years of practicing on the shooting range in the years when officers didn’t use ear plugs, not realizing the damage it could inflict on their hearing, is now quite hard of hearing. Five years ago, he had purchased a speaker that sat beside his Lazy Boy on a table and worked well for him, but it was too loud for the rest of us. But it was wired and the speaker began cutting in and out. Thus, began my search on his behalf for the perfect WIRELESS speakers. I found them in Audio Fox. They fit over the back of your chair and the sound is adjustable. Each fits close to your ear and you can bring them closer to your ear as your needs require. One thing I love is that the TV can be muted, yet my husband can hear TV through his Audio Fox speakers. I was quite surprised. A tip: On a leather chair/recliner, these can slip around or fall to the floor because of the slick material. I’ve read the reviews of a few people who experienced their over-the-chair speakers falling to the floor. I got my husband a pet cover for his chair on Amazon, specifically for the purpose of holding these speakers over the back of his chair securely. An added benefit he says is that his chair will be warm this winter, since leather is so cold. I suggest if you have a hard-of-hearing spouse you purchase these speakers. You’ll not regret it. We’re more than pleased with ours.

I received this item and completed installation per instructions (instructions are not great either). The only sound I got was a propeller noise. I called the company assistance call center. They answered and I asked if I could speak to someone that could assist me in troubleshooting my unit. They hung up on me. I called back and no-one answered. With this kind of technical support I decided I would just send it back.

These speakers are amazing and exactly what we needed. My wife and I live with and take care of her very hard of hearing grandma with dementia, who hates her hearing aids.Grandma would have the TV volume on basically max every second of the day since that's all she does. Her "smart" TV is pretty old so we could not lower the max volume to make living here not so painful.Eventually we bought noise cancelling headphones to cope with the literal constant assault on our ears.I saw these speakers and was pretty skeptical if they'd work, they are pretty expensive too so it made it hard to push the button on buying these.After about a year we were desperate enough to try these out knowing that we can return them for whatever reason.We should have bought these speakers when I first saw them.They are super easy to plug in and set up. If necessary, you can set the volume of the speakers and the TV at different volumes. We were able to switch the sound output to only the speakers.These have made living here sooooo much better. It's amazing.These are not for someone who cares about sound quality, they're not the best sound. But that does not matter in our case.We love these speakers.

I found these speakers while online searching for a speaker for my hard of hearing husband to use. They work very well. It took me awhile to figure out how to bend them to fit over the back of his recliner. Now they stay in place even when he fully reclines his chair. He can control the volume for his speakers and I can control the tv volume for myself by using the remote. Now I can actually sit in the same room with him and watch tv. He mentioned that there should be a hand held device to control the volume and off/on button. It is difficult for him to reach the buttons while sitting in the chair.I did have a problem getting the speakers to work. Our tv only has digital audio out, no audio setting to turn digital off, and we have an outdoor antenna. After trying to get things working on my own, I called customer service. The gentlemen that I talked to was very helpful and told me I needed a converter to convert the digital signal to analog. I ordered the digital audio decoder from Amazon that Eric recommended. It arrived today and I connected everything, and tonight we have working speakers. Hallelujah!! Thank you Eric and SoundProduct Solutions!!

These were bought for my husband who blasts us out of the house with TV sound. They work great so that the noise level is almost non-existent if you are anywhere in the house. The volume can be turned up on the TV if we watch TV with him. The only problem is, these speakers are very expensive and didn't last but eight months. They were well taken care of and never fell to the floor or anything else. They just quit working.

“... they REALLY WORK!” I added these to our brand new 65 inch Qled Samsung TV with Zero Problems using the optic cable and dad can hear through these, even if we MUTE the TV!!! (I have tried them on 3 different generation TVS, even an older box TV. Its been VERY EASY to install on each!) It’s so nice for home to watch tv with my dad and hear him actually be able to laugh at what’s said ... GREAT, EASY, USEFUL, APPRECIATED product! One time while we were out of town They stopped working. When i returned, I merely unplugged and re-plugged in the power cables and all was well!APPLE TV NOTE: When we hooked it up it worked great except when we went to Apple TV. We called audio fox people and nicely they suggested a couple of things. The first one worked. In order to get the speakers to get audio while watching Apple TV first you need to go into settings on APPLE TV, then audio video, then audio, and make sure it’s set to stereo not Dolby or best. Then Apple TV audio works like a charm!!!
