Coopers DIY Beer Home Brewing 6 Gallon Craft Beer Making Kit

I've ordered 2 of these Coopers DIY beer kits now. Very sturdy barrel and well designed for easy cleaning. If you are looking for something that is super easy to use and will give you years of cheap beer, this is perfect! Wide range of tasty brewers extracts available from Coopers as well. 1 can of extract plus 1 KG of white sugar and the yeast that's included with each can of extract is all you need. Highly recommended!

I have had this kit for awhile now and brewed 5 or 6 batches of beer now with great success. I love the kit and the end product so much I bought a second kit and generally have 2 batches brewing at any given time (between my friends and I we go through a lot of beer). So far all the different types of brew have been excellent. Where I live, the cost of one batch works out to be around 30% of what I would pay for the same volume of cheap beer from the store. It is extremely easy from start to finish, very noobie friendly. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to try out home brewing.

This is the second Coopers kit I have bought. Gave the first one away when I moved. I owned the older style and this one is a lot easier to use. I made about 15 batches with the old one and I only had 1 single beer not turn out great.

And I thought, its a kit beer, can't be that good right? well, kinda. Don't get me wrong, its no microbrew quality beer but honestly, I'm pretty impressed. The kit itself is fantastically easy to use, the DVD useful. The bottling process was remarkably easy I fermented for about 7 days until my FG was established, which was a bit quick to be honest, but after 2 weeks of secondary fermentation I was left with a palatable, albeit non-extraordinary beer. This left me to think, that most people on online forums reported getting better results on week three, and since my 2 week old beer tasted something like a steamwhistle mixed with Pabst I would imagine that a slighted more aged beer will be much much better. Honestly though, to the brewing noobie with limited space this is the kit for you. I'm ordering a few refill kits and will update as needed.
