Sedona: Treasure of the Southwest

Beautiful photos and interesting history
I like to learn more about a place AFTER I visit so I don't go to a new place with too many preconceived notions. This book on the history of Sedona was a perfect follow-up to a wonderful hiking trip I took to the area. The photos are spectacular and the history is accessible and interesting. Great purchase!

Beautiful pictures but also great information. My favorite out of 3 Sedona books I bought.

This is a BEAUTIFUL and VERY DESCRIPTIVE book about Sedona
I REALLY like this book. I've only been to Sedona a few times and my last visit was over 10 years ago. Due to "current events" I have no immediate plans to visit. Kathleen Bryant, the author, has the best pictures I've seen from the other guidebooks and brochures I had picked up over time. The author even goes further into sections such as "A Guide to the Rock Formations," a Natural History, Cultural History, etc. I love her pictures of the seasons in Sedona. If you're like me and never visited Sedona in the fall, thanks to this book, I wish I had - I will. :)

the beauty of Sedona
This book contains some of the most beautiful photos of one of the most beautiful places in this country. If you have never been to Sedona, this would provide incentive to go. If you have already been there, it's like revisiting the wonderful places you saw and marveled at.

Okay, but not what I was looking for
This is a large, thin paperback which would probably be a nice souvenir of Sedona (I haven't been yet!) but was not what I was hoping for. It's my own fault for not reading the reviews more closely. It's a little more useful than a (very) similar book called "Secret Sedona" which is also a large thin, paperback filled with nice photographs but not the practical information I am looking for as I plan our upcoming trip. I bought several books about Sedona from Amazon recently and none of them have been as useful as the information I can find on the web.

Go to Sedona, this book will help!
While on a shoot in Page, Arizona I ordered this to help me decide on what to shoot in Sedona. This book is an excellent introduction to Sedona, and it made me realize the amazing beauty and variety in that area. The images are superb, and if I had not had this book I would have missed many of the locations that cannot be seen from the road. Highly recommended!

Nice pictures, but thats about it
I was looking for a guide to explain the best places to view the different rock formations. This book didn't meet my needs but has beautiful pictures.
