Accurate Description
Many people have reviewed that this movie has an "inaccurate description" and because of that have rated it down. That was their only reason for giving it a bad rating. They never even watched the movie, they just made false assumptions. Anyone who watches this movie will know that its first and foremost purpose is to testify of Jesus Christ as the Son of the Living God and Savior of the World. This movie does have an accurate description. It is about Christian Pioneers, or settlers, specifically some of the first members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Another term given to this Christian sect is "Mormons." To say that the description is inaccurate because "Mormons aren't Christian" only proves ignorance. To be Christian is to believe that Christ is the Savior of the world, and the Son of God (belief in the trinity or not aside, he is still called that by all Christian faiths.) Mormons absolutely and whole heartedly fall under that description, especially considering their actual name is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. You don't have to agree with their teachings to consider them Christian, and to do otherwise is completely ignorant.Secondly, regardless of whether one thinks that "Mormons" are Christian or not, this movie, based on real events, tells the most amazing stories of miracles that happened while early pioneers were traveling to Utah. It is filled to the brim with wonderful, spiritual accounts of people's testimonies in Jesus Christ, prayer, and what amazing things can come from faith. Anyone who watches this movie, who appreciates Jesus Christ and the love that He has for all of His children, will be incredibly touched (again, whether or not you believe in the "mormon" religion or not).

Wow!
The 17 Miracles movie was developed from the diaries of the Mormon pioneers. It is a fantastic story and creates a belief that miracles do happen.

Mormon's pioneers
Although, I do not believe in being a Mormon because they focus more on their books over the true Holy Bible. I will say their faith of believing in our One true God brought them through their journey. Religion is DIVISION and dispute us believer of GOD the Father, Yeshua (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit worship in different churches or on Sunday instead of the True Sabbath day which is Saturday. Once we all acknowledge that Yeshua (Jesus) was the Son of our Almighty God, we should not look down on another because at the end of the day, the same Grace that was given to us was given to them. I say we pray that the Holy Spirit will convict, transform and bring the truth to them so they can see that the Holy Bible alone is the BLUEPRINT to live right.I enjoyed the movie because it reminds us that we are to continue to BELIEVE, PRAY, have FAITH and to LEAN on the LORD in hard times. Since He alone can get us through anything and everything for HE is always in control. Had this movie tried to pursue me to believe in Mormonism, I would have stopped it and warn you not to watch it. However, I was reminded that if the Lord granted us MIRACLE before, HE will do it again and again. Our Heavenly Father whom is the "I AM THAT I AM," watches over us so lets be our sisters and brothers keepers by living our lives as Christ would and that will be the Bible that they read as they see that our lives represent Christ. The Lord said, "If a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand" (Mark 3:24). Lets talk, work and convict in love instead of bashing at someone's belief. All of us have fallen short of His glory, I am not trying to preach; however, it is our duty to not attack another because of the church they worship in for we not know when they will come to the truth and change their life/belief/church. Religion is division lets illustrate love instead of being an unbeliever from the Bible. Be bless

See This Movie With Your Family
There is so much history of these United States that is largely unknown or forgotten or untaught. This movie is a masterpiece of so many elements done so outstandingly well. You can see that for everyone involved it was a work of love. The tragedy, losses and ultimate triumph of the pioneers of the Latter Day Saints is an inspiration for all. All Americans should know the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Its history is a story of triumph over religious persecution and the struggle for civil rights and equality. We have wasted so much time as a nation struggling to violate the rights and lives of one group after another. You would think we would finally learn to all unite in true equality and freedom. I am very proud, blessed and happy to be a Latter Day Saint. I am very thankful to all those men and women who have worked so hard, suffered so much and built this great nation we share today. I cannot wait to see this movie with my own little girls. This movie really makes you appreciate your family and what you have. All of the acting, writing, directing, editing was excellent. Even the audio and effects were excellent. The costuming was perfect. This movie is educational, inspiring, heartbreaking and also uplifting. Miracles do happen.

More of a series of events than a storyline
This movie was acceptable, although the creators ought to have considered better whether they wanted to make a documentary or a drama. This, instead, is a documentary posing as a drama, and it's a little boring. The problem is that there is no developed storyline to get drawn into. Instead we are introduced to several storylines of what are obviously real-life characters that offer more of an overview of each of their situations rather than any sort of in-depth character development. The main character himself, emboldened on the cover to make us think this story must be about him, is only seen as his actions relate to the actual events. The movie is interesting insofar as it aquaints us with incredible stories as they happened to real people. But like I said, if that's all the creators wanted to depict, they ought to have made a documentary. Being presented as a drama I expected something a little more captivating story-wise, but there wasn't really a story there. Academically interesting, but dramatically disappointing.
