Great speaker for a great price!!
First off this arrived very quickly from amazon!! A lot sooner than I even expected. I am a mobile DJ and I bought this one speaker to give it a try because of the price and what I thought to be the value of getting such a power house. Plus I needed to replace a speaker in a hurry as I had a gig to play for that weekend. All in all this speaker does get loud!!! I DJ at several bars and it "fills" the room very well. Don't expect a lot of bass to go very far from this set. It does have a good balance of lows mids n highs!!!! I did crank this a couple times with the amp and it works so well!! Gets really loud!!! If you want a lot of bass then get a subwoofer to add to your rig which I know I am cus sometimes I just want that extra pound!! I have used this speaker out doors for a party!! Worked so well!! As previous buyers have eperxienced bad times with the product or shipping, I did not! It's came to me brand new and everything is great working order with it!!! I am buying a few more of these to expand my one rig and start another sound rig!! I like the size, it stands almost 4 feet tall and about 2 1/2 feet wide. The box is shaped like a jbl speaker box. The handles are great and durable. This set up weighs like 65lbs. So not to Heavy well not for me at least. I can carry it one handed no problem. I did hook this speaker up with monster 24k gold plated banana plugs that I got from best buy and 12ga kicker wire that I had laying around and that makes for such an easy hook up if your a mobile DJ like I am!

Terrific Sound
Disabled, I only wanted 1 of these speaker cabinets for bedside computer sourced music and movies and a big screen TV. This Pyle PADH212 big sound cabinet costs only twice the price of my broken, standard, cracker box PC speakers. So why not? Too close to enjoy stereo separation and 2 speaker cabinets would be too much. What I did to combine right and left channel stereo sound together into one Pyle speaker cabinet: 1. Wired adapter 1: Single 1/8" male stereo audio jack/to split right and left channel, RCA female connectors. - Plugged 1/8" jack into the computer audio output. 2. Wired adapter 2: Single RCA male connector/to split right and left channel, RCA male connectors. - Plugged the single RCA male connector into the right side RCA audio input of separately purchased stereo amplifier. - Plugged the split right and left channel, RCA male connectors into the split left and right channel, RCA female connectors of adapter 1. - Installed a pair of speaker wires from right side amplifier speaker wire output, to the Pyle speaker cabinet, speaker wire input. 3. Wired adapter 3: Single RCA male connector/to split right and left channel, RCA male connectors (same as adapter 2). - Plugged the single RCA male connector into the left channel amplifier RCA audio input, the mate to the amplifier right channel audio input used above, in order to use same amplifier input setting, whether computer sourced music and movies or cable TV. - Plugged split right and left channel, RCA male connectors into the right and left RCA female audio output connectors of the big screen TV. Decades ago I had 2 speaker cabinets with a total of 8 - 10" woofers, 2 - 6" mid range and 2 pico tweeters. With that experience I can say, after tweaking my software music player equalizer, just one Pyle PADH212 cabinet of speakers, in close proximity, has more than enough terrific sound. Note: Installing a pair of speaker wires from the right channel amplifier speaker wire output, and a pair of speaker wires from the left channel amplifier speaker wire output, and then connecting the other ends of both the right and the left speaker wires to a single speaker cabinet, speaker wire input, will not work. It short circuits the amplifier speaker wire output connections. It's the same as installing speaker wire from the right side amplifier speaker wire output directly into the left side amplifier speaker wire output. Most amplifiers have protective measures and will turn off the amplifier without damage. Note: If the amp is engineered with total amplifier wattage split between 2 channels, only 1 side, half of the total amp wattage is driving the speaker cabinet. As in my example, right channel computer sourced music and movies, left channel cable TV, but same amplifier input setting.

Great Speaker For The Price!
I bought 2 of these speakers and are very happy I did. They are big, powerful and can pound out some solid base. It is amazing that this speaker is so cheap, you really get A LOT for your money! Pros: Great speaker Powerful base Cheap price Looks big and nice Shipping went fast You get a lot for your $$ Cons: Discant not the highest quality (There is nothing wrong with the speaker, it sounds great, but if I have to point out ANYTHING that I can put my finger on, then it would be that the discant can be a bit sharp in my ears. I simply just lowered the treble a bit and problem solved). I would buy a pair of these speakers again for sure. Notice this is just for one speaker, you have to order 2 to get a pair. (note: 10 years ago I used to have a very high quality setup with Denon receiver and Dali 109 speakers (2x10" base). I mention this because I want you to know that it's not the first time I buy "big speakers". This Pyle speaker is absolutely worth the price, you shouldn't wait any longer! BUY WHILE THEY ARE STILL AVAILABLE FOR THIS CHEAP PRICE!!!

Shot In The Dark!
....Let me start out by saying that Amazon Customer Service is the BEST! I have a total of 4 of the speakers now. Purchased the first set in a customized DJ/Karaoke packaged deal back in late 2009 (BRAND NEW). Worked with them for around 1-1/2 years, no problems. Then in mid 2011 I decided I wanted a back-up set. So, I ordered from Amazon. Order went through and speakers arrived with no visible damage to outer box. Opened the first one up and noticed a very strong smell from the glue. Not to mention, the speakers also appeared to be rather warm/hot (summertime). Regardless, I took speakers completely out of the box and plastic. Both speakers had damage and the glue smell was filling up the house completely. Enough to make your eyes water! Although the same model, they seemed a great deal lighter than my other pair. So I weighed them and each one was 20 pounds lighter. One of the speakers was FLOPPING around, only being held in by two screws. The other one had grill damage and a 1"x2" gash in the side. I immediately contacted Amazon and they took care of everything and sent out a pair of replacements. They arrived within a few days with absolutely no issues. I proceeded to hook them up and all was fine. The specs show MDF used on these cabinets but it's more like OSB. Although I've had no issues, be a little more careful than normal if you're gonna be transporting them. Specs also rate them as 1600 WATTS/800 RMS. I believe that's pushing it a bit (overrated). Pyle Pro Customer Service is kind of STRANGE (You might get disconnected, you might have to wait for SEVERAL minutes and they seem a little unsure of themselves & product). ......Now for the PROS: (Hard To Believe There Could, Right?) I run mine off of a Behringer Europower PMP 3000 and 4000. When Pyle Pro gets it right, they do get it right! The sound is CRAZY GOOD, especially for the PRICE! However, if you're expecting to get a ton of base, hold the horses down. You'll most likely want to get a sub woofer. Base is there and is ok but I like having some extra thump. Mids and highs are really good with no distortion. I have pushed the things for hours and hours. First set has roughly 800 hours on them and second set has roughly 200 + hours. Have noticed that some other reviewers have had issues and I understand. However, for the price, the sound, the quality (but not that OSB Wood Cabinet ) and if you're careful with them, they should last you for a good amount of time. ......A couple side notes: #1) I have used other Big Name Speaker Companies in my 15 years. All Speaker Companies have Pros & Cons but most BIG names have a much BIGGER price tag for similar sounding quality. #2) If you are nervous about getting a bad one or set, I would suggest purchasing an Extended Warranty. Perhaps Square Trade. It should get you piece of mind.

One dead speaker and no such thing as customer service
One speaker dead and pyle doesnt honor anything. Customer service is non existant and theyre a joke! Also nobody tells you in order to power these you need 3,400 watts per channel. I have two of these with a 6,000 watt amp. They sound great but they are hungry little creatures!

Great buy
I like the look, very impressive. I play this pair with a 1200pm Carver 1200 watts, a 30 bands Peavey Eq and a GL2 Allen & Heat Studio Mixer. Impressive sound, the speakers hold the power real good. The highs are clear (even with 4 not 5 piezo electro) & mids very strongs. Powerfull & clear voices + reasonable (for a $235.00 pair)bass. I was waiting a little more bass, thinking on 2 12" subs per speakers. But like the spec said (I made my homework) 50 hz - 20,000. When I received my older 1 of the cabinets was broken. I spoke to costumer service, and the service was the best. The rep. solve my problem inmediatly. I received a new one at the very next day, 200% satisfied with the Amazon costumer service. (Thanks Veronica for your help).

OK for the price
I ordered these speakers for my son as he is in a band and does some djing. Considering the price these speakers are ok. One of them developed a rattling baffle sound and had to be replaced, since then they have performed well.Don't take the power rating as gospel whilst they will handle a decent amount of power i would say 200w rms is closer(depending on the amp of course). He is driving them through an adcom 555 which seems to push them too the limits. just a note on Amazons return policy. I have nothing for praise for the Amazon part of the procedure but I was extrememly dissapointed with ups. Amazon emailed me a return autherization along with a shipping label. On taking it to the ups store i was told that they couln't ship it because the weight on the waybill was 6lbs out compared with the actual rate.I told them to change the weight but they refused. I eneded up having to go back to the ups store and pick them up so a ups driver could pick them up WITHOUT WEIGHING them. Amazon stop using UPS and use FEDEX please.
